Someone to play a key role in developing and executing employee, executive and business communications and internal and corporate social responsibility events.</p> <p>We need a communications professional who can craft a range of internal communications for various internal audiences. &nbsp;Someone who wants to support the launch of new internal tools and programs to better communicate and engage with our people. &nbsp;The Communications Specialist can also build strong relationships with internal and external partners and also jump in to help the team with any corporate communications initiatives.</p> <p><strong>Who you are</strong></p> <p>You are a Communications Specialist with a focus on Internal Communications. Responsibilities: <p><strong>As our new Specialist - Internal Communications, you will drive:</strong></p> <ul> <li>On-brand communications content (i.e., messaging, articles, memos, speaking notes, video, photography etc.). You will create, review and edit content to be delivered through a variety of internal communications channels, including town halls, intranet, newsletter, email and social media channels as required, to help drive employee engagement.</li> <li>The organization&rsquo;s intranet. You will maintain and assist in the development and execution of employee communications and engagement strategies.</li> <li>Internal business collaboration. You will provide communications counsel and support to internal business units, partners and executives along with the Senior Manager to assess, develop and execute on internal communications needs.</li> <li>Community activities for employees. You will be part of a team overseeing employee events. You will help plan and execute employee events, including town hall meetings, socials and external community activities.</li> <li>Employee engagement. You will help identify areas of opportunity to drive engagement and enhance the&nbsp;<em>Interac</em>&nbsp;brand through Corporate Social Responsibility activities. You will liaise effectively with third-party vendors, associations and other key stakeholder partners to execute strategic sponsorships, partnerships and CSR initiatives.</li> <li>On-brand messaging. You will support the communications team to ensure a consistent look and feel of all internal communications.</li> <li>Metrics and analysis. You will monitor and measure the effectiveness of: <ul> <li>Internal communications</li> <li>CSR programs</li> <li>The use of technology and channels for internal communications</li> </ul> </li> <li>Process improvement. You will leverage insights to improve processes and proactively provide recommendations to the team.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>How do we know that&rsquo;s you? You have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>The ideal combination of education and experience. You have a Bachelor&rsquo;s degree and 3-5 years&rsquo; experience in Corporate Communications (any combination of internal, external or digital).</li> <li>The outstanding communication skills. You have exceptional oral, written and editorial skills. You can write and speak to a range of audiences from your perspective or in the voice of others. You listen and respond appropriately and effectively when interacting with others.The motivation. You have strong time management skills and can work well in a deadline-driven environment. You are able to identify and recommend opportunities for improvements, process efficiencies and synergies.</li> <li>The collaborative skills. You can work independently or as an integral part of the team. You can confidently reach out to internal and external stakeholders at any level to obtain information.</li> <li>The interpersonal finesse. You are comfortable advising on messaging and presentation content of executive level team members.</li> <li>The technical experience. You have strong technical skills and learn and navigate new software quickly.
