Overview: The Shift Lead holds the responsibility of meticulously adhering to all operational protocols aimed at safeguarding the assets of the Pueblo of Isleta C-Stores during store opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Manager. This entails strictly following procedures for cash handling and diligently preparing requisite documentation for register commencement and closure at the onset and conclusion of each business day.<br /><br /><strong>Isleta Resort and Casino Guest Service Agreement</strong><br /><br />All Team Members will display 100% commitment to World Class Guest Service through the delivery and maintenance of Guest Service Standards established by the Isleta Resort and Casino.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Supervises store personnel in the absence of the assistant manager. Responsible for addressing customer complaints and resolving problems.</li> <li>Exclusively entrusted with the keys to the store's assets throughout operational hours.</li> <li>Ensures adherence to policies and procedures by meticulously handling cash and accurately documenting transactional paperwork.</li> <li>Responsible for handling the register, and verifying totals at the beginning and end of each shift, or as necessary.</li> <li>Distributes cash drawer to sales associate at the beginning of each shift.</li> <li>Responsible for all money transactions between sales associate, TACC, and safe.</li> <li>Ensures the proper security of stores by overseeing the management of the security system, verifying the presence and functionality of alarms, thus guaranteeing the safety and security of all store assets.</li> <li>Ensures store readiness for opening by preparing cashier drawers.</li> <li>Responsible for directing and conducting sales on shop floor.</li> <li>Responsible for re-stocking inventory and moving boxes.</li> <li>Ensures sales displays are neat and orderly.</li> <li>Marks and tags merchandise with prices.</li> <li>Records and re-stocks products.</li> <li>Assists in preventing damage or theft of merchandise.</li> <li>Follows procedures for merchandise returns.</li> <li>Responsible for assisting Store Manager/Assistant Manager in training of new staff.</li> <li>Acts as a liaison between staff and upper management.</li> <li>Informs Store Manager/Assistant Manager of activities and significant matters.</li> <li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li> </ul> <br /><br /><br /><br />
Requirements: <ul> <li>Must be 21</li> <li>High school diploma or GED required.</li> <li>One (1) year of sales associate experience at a one stop or travel center.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to maintain confidentiality.</li> <li>Ability to obtain alcohol distribution license.</li> <li>Ability to effectively engage with potentially disgruntled customers and various levels of management.</li> <li>Strong communication, organizational, and written skills.</li> <li>Basic computer skills-word, excel, outlook.</li> <li>Knowledge of policies and procedures, including updates.</li> <li>Ability to perform duties and responsibilities in a professional manner at all times.</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Special Requirements, Licenses, and Certification</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Must acquire and maintain a Gaming License issued through POIGRA.</li> <li>Pass pre-employment drug test and background investigation.</li> <li>Must acquire New Mexico State Alcoholic Beverage Service Certification.</li> <li>Must acquire POIGRA Alcohol Server License.</li> <li>Must maintain all Isleta Resort and Casino-wide educational and certification requirements.</li> <li>Flexible work schedule, willingness to work any days/hours as needed.</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Physical Demands and Work Environment:</strong><br /> <ul> <li>While performing the duties the employee is occasionally required to stand for extended periods of time including but, not limited to: climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.</li> <li>The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.</li> <li>Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Working Conditions:</strong><br /> <ul> <li>The noise level in the work environment is generally moderate.</li> <li>While performing the duties of this job the employee is exposed to various weather conditions.</li> <li>Team member may occasionally deal with irate or hostile individuals.</li> </ul>
