Overview: <strong>AGE REQUIREMENT: 21 years or older</strong><br /><br /><strong>Position Summary:</strong><br /><br />The Sound Technician will play a crucial role in setting up, operating, and dismantling Isleta Resort and Casino&rsquo;s live sound system, ensuring flawless execution and client satisfaction. This role is responsible for managing the soundboard and other audio equipment to maintain correct sound levels and a well-balanced mix, ensuring optimal sound quality for both performers on stage and the audience. Additionally, they will establish user requirements to guarantee the reliability, availability, integrity, and security of the resort's AV operations. Oversight of general maintenance ensures that all audio and video equipment, including the sound system and associated equipment, cables, and connections, are functioning properly for daily operations.<br /><br /><strong>Isleta Resort and Casino Guest Service Agreement</strong><br /><br />All Team Members will display 100% commitment to World Class Guest Service through the delivery and maintenance of Guest Service Standards established by the Isleta Resort and Casino.

It does not imply that all positions within the class perform all of the duties listed, nor does it necessarily list all possible duties that may be assigned.<br /><br /> <ul> <li>Sets up, operates, and troubleshoots audio and staging equipment, including mixing consoles, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, along with a variety of event materials.</li> <li>Monitors audio levels, mixing and balancing studio levels, signal flow, and cues throughout the event, making real-time adjustments to maintain quality and consistency.</li> <li>Conducts sound checks, line checks, and equipment tests to ensure optimal audio quality and performance.</li> <li>Evaluates equipment needs and notifies IT Manager of the need to repair or replace, as well as contacting any relevant vendors to complete repairs if needed.</li> <li>Performs troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose system and application problems.</li> <li>Analyzes business requirements and makes recommendations for improvement. Works close with Marketing to provide and operate sound services.</li> <li>Adheres to safety protocols and industry standards for sound volume, wiring, and equipment handling to ensure a safe working environment for all staff, presenters, and attendees.</li> <li>Maintains system change records.</li> <li>Plans, organizes, and implements maintenance of sound related equipment and software.</li> <li>Responsible for all maintenance as identified in the manufacturer/vendor recommendations including updates, patches, and upgrades.</li> <li>Maintains proficiency in field of expertise by remaining knowledgeable and current with system&rsquo;s hardware and software.</li> <li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:<br /><br /></strong></p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of audio sound systems.</li> <li>Knowledge of audio mixing consoles and digital processors.</li> <li>Knowledge of NIGC, MICS, POIGRA regulations, departmental and organizational policies, and procedures.</li> <li>Must possess strong technical skills in troubleshooting audio with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.</li> <li>Must possess organizational and time management skills while paying close attention to detail such as spelling, numbers, and grammar.</li> <li>Must possess a highly developed sense of customer service and interpersonal skills, to include high integrity and respect for individuals.</li> <li>Must possess strong critical and analytical thinking skills.</li> <li>Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and materials.</li> <li>Ability to accurately and successfully perform several tasks and meet deadlines under high levels of stress and with minimal supervision.</li> <li>Ability to communicate in writing and verbally in an effective, informative, and professional manner, and be able to convey denials and defuse hostile guest situations with ease and tact.</li> <li>Ability to display commitment to the organizational goals and objectives while displaying the utmost discretion when dealing with confidential information and data.</li> <li>Ability to create clear and thorough reports and organize and maintain files.<br /><br /><br /></li> </ul> <p><strong>Education and Experience:</strong><br /><br /></p> <ul> <li>Minimum of two (2) years&rsquo; experience as an audio technician or similar role.</li> <li>Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification preferred.<br /><br /><br /></li> </ul> <p><strong>Special Requirements, Licenses, and Certification:</strong><br /><br /></p> <ul> <li>Must acquire and maintain a Gaming License issued through POIGRA.</li> <li>Pass pre-employment drug test and background investigation.</li> <li>Must maintain all Isleta Resort and Casino-wide educational and certification requirements.</li> <li>Flexible work schedule, willingness to work any days/hours as needed.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Physical Demands and Work Environment:</strong><br /><br /></p> <ul> <li>Must be able to lift, move, and place 25 pounds.</li> <li>Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Working Conditions:</strong></p> <p>Work is generally performed in both a Casino setting with possible exposure to second-hand smoke and a high noise level, exposure to various lights and sounds and a high paced office setting; possibility of working outdoors in extreme weather conditions such as high levels of heat, cold, winds, rain, hail, and snow.
