Material is seeking a Benefits Manager in conjunction with the creation of a newly forming enterprise-wide HR function. Reporting to the SVP, Talent Operations, the Benefits Manager will be responsible for employee benefits, health &amp; welfare, wellness, retirement benefit plans, and leave of absence outsourced management for the entire Material portfolio of companies. With oversight for the compliance, administration, and communications of all benefit plans for approximately 1200 eligible employees across 10 entities in multiple geographies, the ideal candidate must have a high degree of comfort with and depth of experience in merging plans and harmonizing offerings &ndash; this requires strong command presence and influence.&nbsp; This position manages a Sr, Benefits Analyst.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;
Responsibilities: What You Will Do: M&amp;A and Integration <ul> <li>Support M&amp;A due diligence; in partnership with legal and finance, analyze plan documentation and benefits costs to identify potential gaps that will need to be addressed.</li> <li>Drive post M&amp;A integration efforts; aligning and harmonizing benefits programs across the organization.</li> <li>Heavy reporting and analysis</li> </ul> &nbsp; Benefits Management <ul> <li>Set H/W and 401(k) benefits strategy and stay abreast of industry trends, keeping Material&rsquo;s benefit plans relevant.</li> <li>Implement and manage internal and vendor programs and processes to maintain compliance with local and federal H/W and 401(k) regulations.</li> <li>Manage annual insurance renewal, seeking top vendors and competitive rates. Manage relationship with broker to ensure benefits strategy is achieved and goals are met.</li> <li>Create positive open enrollment user experience via communications and tools.</li> <li>Market benefits to employees through a variety of engaging and informative communication channels ensuring employees understand and take advantage of what is available to them.</li> <li>Maintain benefits module in HRIS and contribute to implementation of any new systems, workflows and reporting.</li> <li>Partner with Finance in annual budgeting process.</li> <li>Manage leave of programs, including oversight of Leave Administrator, ensuring positive employee experience and compliant programs.</li> <li>General oversight and responsibility of day to day benefits administration.</li> <li>Partner with broker and plan auditors to file accurate and timely H/W and 401(k) 5500&rsquo;s.</li> </ul>
Requirements: Requirements <ul> <li>7+ years of progressively responsible Health, Welfare, and 401(k) experience.</li> <li>Certified Benefits Professional (or working towards) desired.</li> <li>Sound knowledge of legislation and regulations pertaining to health &amp; welfare and retirement benefit programs (ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, Sec. 125, and DOL).</li> <li>Excellent Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, skills.</li> </ul> <br />Characteristics <ul> <li>Team player - driven to contribute to Material&rsquo;s reputation, growth and success.</li> <li>Well-rounded, strategic business partner with an operational mindset.</li> <li>Multi-tasker and self-starter, able to work in a fast paced environment.</li> <li>Proven ability to problem solve, think critically, manage multiple stakeholders, and understand multi-division dynamics</li> <li>Highly comfortable with ambiguity, change in direction, and working autonomously without extensive oversight.</li> <li>Mindful about the employee experience - well-spoken and articulate in all forms of communication.</li> <li>Extremely collaborative, seeking insights from others in the interest of a better outcome.
