Overview: Company Description <br />Material is an analytics-driven marketing services firm powered by sophisticated analytics and deep human understanding.&nbsp; Founded in 1973 and headquartered in LA, the company has grown consistently for nearly 50 years and currently has 1200 employees in 20 offices including NY, Chicago, San Francisco, Austin, and London.&nbsp; Material has actively acquired a portfolio of businesses to build a unique, integrated marketing services business with key capabilities in analytics, intelligence and experience for an array of top tier clients in entertainment, tech, retail, healthcare, and packaged goods.&nbsp; &nbsp; <br /><br />Overview <br />The Talent Business Partner will partner in the development and rollout of a Business Partner and Shared Service model to the business; contributing to and leading execution of Talent strategies and programs that support the vision and mission of LRW.&nbsp; The Business Partner will lead and facilitate all Talent services and programs for the client groups she or he supports through collaboration with the business and Talent cross-functional teams and will serve as an expert consultant to business leaders on all talent matters, including organizational effectiveness, leader effectiveness, organizational design, learning needs/opportunities and conflict resolution. The Business Partner will partner closely with cross-functional Talent teams. &nbsp;
Responsibilities: In this role, you will: <ul> <li>Establish and maintain an intimate understanding of the client groups and the business, in the interest of building effective and productive working relationships with internal stakeholders and clients, at all levels of the organization.</li> <li>Proactively assess business and organizational performance to influence and drive action through a consultative approach.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Coach business leaders on key organizational and management issues.</li> <li>Plan and facilitate work sessions to develop business strategies (i.e. vision, mission, value, objectives) that help support business results.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Partner in efforts to upgrade LRW talent pool through performance management, leadership development, recruiting &amp; employee engagement activities.</li> <li>Ensure the delivery of enhanced Talent services and innovative organizational and team development solutions</li> <li>Partner with cross-functional Talent teams (Talent Acquisition, L&amp;D, Compensation and Benefits) to develop and deliver effective Talent programs that enable the organization to perform effectively and scale efficiently as it grows</li> <li>Oversee and bring employee relations issues to resolution.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local employment laws.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <br /> <ul> <li>10+ years of general Human Resources experience, at least 5 of which have been in a Business Partner function</li> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.</li> <li>Proven ability to problem solve, critically think, manage multiple stakeholders, understand multi-division dynamics</li> <li>Highly comfortable with ambiguity, change in direction, and working autonomously with general direction</li> <li>Excellent knowledge of federal and multi-state employment regulations (IRS &amp; DOL).</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Team player - driven to contribute to LRW&rsquo;s reputation, growth and success.</li> <li>Well-rounded, strategic business partner with an operational mindset.</li> <li>A multi-tasker and self-starter, able to work in a fast paced environment even in the face of ambiguity.</li> <li>Mindful about the employee experience - well-spoken and articulate in all forms of communication.</li> <li>Extremely collaborative, seeking insights from others in the interest of a better outcome.
