The Associate Director of Annual Giving will be a key member of the LSU Foundation’s annual giving team. The focus of this position is on building a culture of philanthropy through direct marketing. The successful candidate will build the overall direct mail strategy, report related successes to key campus stakeholders, and prepare reporting for analysis. In addition, this candidate will build and execute a student philanthropy program at LSU.

Associate Director

Overview: The Associate Director of Annual Giving will be a key member of the LSU Foundation&rsquo;s annual giving team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Annual Giving, the successful candidate will build the overall direct mail strategy, report related successes to key campus stakeholders, and prepare reporting for analysis. In addition, this candidate will build and execute a student philanthropy program at LSU.
Responsibilities: <div> <p><strong>Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><u>Project Management &ndash; Direct Mail</u></p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement annual direct mail with follow-up email strategy and production calendar, in conjunction with the Senior Director of Annual Giving.</li> <li>Work with Communications and Marketing team and appropriate vendors on design and copy of mail and follow-up email pieces and corresponding enclosures.</li> <li>Work with outside printer and mail house, ensuring standards of professionalism, accuracy, and timing are being met.</li> <li>Serve as the primary annual giving liaison to the advancement services team. Request all data needed to successfully execute direct marketing campaigns. Segment and deliver all data for project execution.</li> <li>Develop and implement overall strategy and timeline for student giving campaigns</li> <li>Research best practice in senior and four-year giving campaigns, including engaging on-campus partners and student leaders.</li> <li>Work with internal and external partners to execute solicitation and stewardship plans.</li> <li>Serve as the primary annual giving liaison for all student philanthropy efforts at LSU including education, solicitation and stewardship.</li> </ul> <p><u>Reporting and Data Analysis</u></p> <ul> <li>Synthesize information and develop key findings that will drive strategic decisions in annual giving across the organization.</li> <li>In conjunction with the Senior Director, set overall direct marketing goals as well as specific college and fund goals.</li> </ul> <p><u>Technology Resource</u></p> <ul> <li>Working with Advancement Services, create workflows, data tables, and other tools that aid in implementation of a highly segmented direct marketing approach.&nbsp;</li> <li>In coordination with the Senior Director, create, review, and socialize needed policies and procedures to implement strategic Annual Giving program.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Marginal Duties &amp; Responsibilities&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Resource to team members as it relates to data analysis and manipulation.</li> </ul> </div>
