Overview: <p>The Digital Fundraising Specialist is responsible for the digital marketing aspects of the LSU Foundation's centrally led annual giving efforts. Reporting to the team lead of Annual Giving, this position is responsible for implementing and coordinating digital marketing efforts that advance LSU&rsquo;s academic fundraising priorities.</p>
Responsibilities: <p><strong>Position Responsibilities&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Enhance the use of digital marketing (e.g., email, websites and other cloud-based solutions, social media, and texting platforms) to create a personal and positive giving experience for donors</li> <li>Serve as project lead for crowdfunding efforts and digital-focused campaigns, including Giving Day, Student Gift Campaign, and Faculty &amp; Staff Campaign</li> <li>Work with campus partners to ensure personal and consistent annual giving messaging and positive donor experiences. Collaborate with Foundation colleagues to ensure that the Foundation&rsquo;s brand and overall marketing and communications strategy is used consistently and effectively</li> <li>Analyze data to gain and act upon insights and assess performance of digital fundraising efforts to improve segmentation and messaging</li> <li>Perform other duties as assigned</li> </ul> <p><strong>Non-essential/marginal position responsibilities&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Contribute as a writer and/or creative thought partner on selected digital fundraising-related annual giving projects</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Proficient Level in Office 365 suite, particularly Excel</li> <li>Educational background or work experience in the communications and marketing and/or fundraising industries</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to research, develop, implement, and evaluate tactical communications and/or marketing plans</li> <li>Strong technological literacy and experience learning and working with digital communications tools</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred level/type of experience&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Proven skill in data analysis for traditional and/or digital marketing efforts (e.g., email, web, direct-response)</li> <li>Knowledge of client-services models, including marketing operations and project management</li> <li>Direct experience in the fundraising industry</li> <li>Experience working within a CRM</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred abilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Excellent interpersonal, administrative, and organizational skills</li> <li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required education</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree a related field of study from an accredited college or university&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred education</strong></p> <ul> <li>Master&rsquo;s degree in a related field of study from an accredited college or university&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Desired Competencies&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li><u>Collaboration</u>: Works collegially with others, cooperating in both interpersonal and team relationships; fosters enthusiasm and maintains mutual trust, candor, and respect.</li> <li><u>Adaptability</u>: Responds to changing circumstances by being innovative and altering behavior to better fit different situations; successfully works with new colleagues; willing to be flexible; remains calm in stressful situations.&nbsp;</li> <li><u>Effective Communication</u>: Shares and receives information using clear oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.</li> <li><u>Attention to Detail/Accuracy</u>: Focuses on paying attention to all details and aspects of a job or process to avoid substandard outputs.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Work Environment Requirements&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>May be required to work extended workdays to meet deadlines</li> <li>Will be required to comply with our mandatory COVID vaccination policy, unless granted an exemption for medical or religious reasons</li> </ul> <p><strong>Managerial/Supervisory Requirements&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>This position has no supervisory responsibilities</li> </ul>
