Overview: <p>The LSU Foundation is seeking a curious and passionate professional for the position of Principal Gifts Analyst. Focused on data-driven decision making and strong relationship building, the Analyst will be responsible for the collaboration of efforts to engage LSU&rsquo;s highest capacity prospects by identifying connections between University priorities and donor interests. They are responsible for the tactical day-to-day management of donor movement deliverables, as well as the coordination and preparation of Top Prospect profiles, data, and activity. They will also preserve our data with the highest level of integrity to ensure prospect information is accurately reflected within the system. Reporting to the Senior Principal Gifts Analyst, this position will be a key stakeholder in the success of the principal gifts program.&nbsp;</p> <p>The individual selected for this position will be a member of a small team looking to develop and refine our approach to principal gifts. Focused on data-driven decision making and strong relationship building, the Principal Gifts Analyst will be responsible for the strategic support, tracking, and reporting on fundraiser portfolios and will provide analysis and insight on topics including donor behaviors and interests, campaign capacity, and development officer activity.</p> <p>The diversity of work load will require leadership, curiosity, flexibility, efficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to independently prioritize to meet deadlines. Responsibilities: <div> <p><u>Strategy Development and Decision Support</u></p> <ul> <li>Ensure that Principal Gift Prospects are placed in the appropriate portfolios and track movement and activity on these prospects to inform regular review</li> <li>Support the development of highly tailored prospect strategies through in-depth analysis of existing donor information&nbsp;</li> <li>Conduct in-depth research on LSU Top Prospects, assessing affinity and capacity, and providing robust documentation on relevant prospect information including external philanthropy, relationship mapping, ownership of property, etc.&nbsp;</li> <li>Work collaboratively with other RPMA and fundraising staff to identify and make recommendations for strategic donor engagement&nbsp;</li> <li>Provide tactical support pertaining to travel and prioritization through analysis of donor and fundraiser activity</li> </ul> <p><u>Reporting &amp; Data Maintenance</u></p> <ul> <li>Review Principal Gift prospect records for gaps in information, consistency, and accuracy. Work with Donor Relations, Gifts Processing, Records, and Research to refine and complete this information</li> <li>Create and update Top Prospect profiles and maintain prospect data</li> <li>Maintain and review prospect assignments and document changes thoroughly&nbsp;</li> <li>Regularly review contact reports on principal gift prospects, connecting relevant information across the development enterprise&nbsp;</li> <li>Regularly review and report on Principal Gift prospect strategies to ensure alignment with activity</li> <li>Prepare summary and briefing information for leadership or RPM meetings</li> </ul> <p><u>Development Support &amp; Coaching</u></p> <ul> <li>Ensure follow-up on moves management tasks and action items with Development Officers</li> <li>Work diplomatically with fundraisers to ensure relationship management guidelines are appropriately adhered to</li> <li>Develop and maintain training and instructional materials related to Prospect Management and Tracking</li> <li>Collaborates with the technical trainer on specialized training sessions in response to specific needs or new technology</li> </ul> <p><strong>Marginal Duties &amp; Responsibilities&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Complete projects/reports as requested.</li> </ul> </div>
