Overview: <p>Reporting to the head of Communications and Marketing and working in close collaboration with other members of the communications and marketing team, the Graphic Designer is responsible for shaping and protecting visual identity and brand standards for the LSU Foundation (and in alignment with those of LSU) and serving as lead designer on all publications and print creative assets produced by the LSU Foundation in support of development communications and marketing activities at LSU. The Graphic Designer also supports brand identity for multichannel efforts and digital design as needed, in collaboration with the individual responsible for digital communications.</p>
Responsibilities: <p><strong>Essential Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Establish visual identity and brand standards for the LSU Foundation and its development communications efforts, in close collaboration with LSU Strategic Communications. Create and make available related templates and creative assets. Respond to development communications design needs of the campus-wide development community. (25%)</li> <li>Develop concepts for and design well-branded, year-round, multi-channel annual giving materials for several audience segments. Support donor relations team through design of stewardship and events materials and development of brand identities for giving societies and other major initiatives. Develop concepts for and design well-branded, multi-channel planned giving materials. (25%)</li> <li>Support frontline fundraising team through design of proposals and custom stewardship, events, and donor engagement materials. Create and provide creative assets and templates to be used for such purposes by the development teams across campus. &nbsp;(25%)&nbsp;</li> <li>Design publicans showcasing giving impact through feature stories. (15%)</li> <li>Develop concepts and design development-related advertisements for a variety of publications and purposes. Support data visualization needs for gift proposals, presentations, and print. Lead design of monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc internal communications pieces. (10%)</li> </ul> <p><strong>Non-essential/marginal position responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Attend events and meetings as needed.</li> <li>Track and report on progress and service delivery.</li> <li>Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in graphic design, higher education fundraising as related to communications and marketing, and new and emerging design tool and techniques.</li> </ul>
