Development Services Coordinator

The LSU Foundation, in conjunction with the E. J. Ourso College of Business, is seeking a mission-driven, experienced professional to serve as Development Services Coordinator. The Development Services Coordinator provides administrative support for fundraising and development related events and tasks. The Coordinator works closely with the Senior Director of Development and the development office to implement all aspects of the development plan for the college.

Coordinator

Overview: The Development Services Coordinator provides administrative support for fundraising and development related events and tasks. The Coordinator works closely with the Senior Director of Development and the development office to implement all aspects of the development plan for the LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business.&nbsp;
Responsibilities: <p><u>Development Support to Team</u></p> <ul> <li>Maintains quality control of development materials for the unit</li> <li>Works with the prospect management team to update portfolios for prospective donors</li> <li>Utilizing the Advance database, submits bio information obtained by development staff (contact, employment, marital, birthdays, student activities, etc.) to the records team</li> <li>Submits research requests as needed to prospect research associates</li> <li>Handles the coordination, and distribution of appointment lists, proposals, etc.</li> <li>Ensures that all reports produced in the unit are kept up to date</li> <li>Works in coordination with development officers on events and mailings</li> <li>Entering contact reports for team</li> <li>Provides assistance with Dean&rsquo;s Advisory Council meetings</li> </ul> <p><u>Administrative Support to Team</u></p> <ul> <li>Perform general administrative duties such as managing the calendar and activities of the senior director, preparation of expense reports, mailings, travel arrangements, meeting set up, new agreement paperwork, and account forms, ordering supplies, call reports, and task entries for the team.</li> <li>Coordinate team meetings and facilitate the senior director&rsquo;s management of those meetings.</li> <li>Provide support to the senior director and other development professionals by running reports and clipboards in Advance and providing scheduled giving reports.</li> <li>Support the advancement efforts of the units by ensuring that graduate assistants and student workers are trained on Advance, LexisNexis Development Professionals, and Wealth Engine.</li> <li>Organize all details related to meetings of units&rsquo; advisory boards and development task forces.</li> <li>Coordinate the day-to-day development-based activities for the units.</li> </ul> <p><u>Other</u></p> <ul> <li>Serve on appropriate LSU Foundation committees that advance the development efforts of the units and the university</li> <li>Address special projects and functions as assigned by senior director.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Marginal Duties &amp; Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Manage donor database for the college, including biographical and prospect information.</li> <li>Assist Director and Associate Director with expense reports, travel arrangements and calendars.</li> <li>Maintain office organization, including new and existing accounts and donor agreements.</li> <li>Complete projects/reports as requested by Senior Director of Development.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree from an accredited college or university</li> <li>Minimum of two years post-college work experience</li> <li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite</li> <li>A willingness to learn and master proprietary donor database</li> <li>Ability to work independently with little supervision in order to handle a wide variety of administrative and support related tasks</li> <li>Excellent organizational skills</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong decision making ability, and attention to detail</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Knowledge &amp; Skill Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience working in development or in a higher education environment</li> </ul> <p><strong>Supervisory Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>None</li> </ul> <p><strong>Work Environment Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>May be required to occasionally work extended workdays, evenings or weekends</li> </ul>
