Responsibilities: <p><strong>40% &ndash; Department Leadership and Operations</strong></p> <ul> <li>Oversee and manage all aspects of Accounts Payable operations, including workflow management, invoice and payment processing, vendor relations, and reconciliation activities.</li> <li>Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with Foundation policies, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.</li> <li>Supervise, train, and support Accounts Payable staff to promote efficiency, accountability, and professional development.</li> </ul> <p><strong>20% &ndash; Payment Processing and Review</strong></p> <ul> <li>Prepare Foundation operating check requests and review/process beneficiary department check requests for completeness and accuracy prior to CFO approval.</li> <li>Ensure all disbursements are properly documented and comply with established policies and procedures.</li> </ul> <p><strong>20% &ndash; Credit Card Administration and Oversight</strong></p> <ul> <li>Review, code, and reconcile corporate credit card statements to ensure proper expense classification and readiness for general ledger posting.</li> <li>Serve as system administrator for the Foundation&rsquo;s corporate credit card program, including monitoring usage and ensuring compliance with policy.</li> </ul> <p><strong>10% &ndash; Issue Resolution and Stakeholder Support</strong></p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with beneficiary departments and vendors to resolve discrepancies related to check requests, payments, and credit card transactions.</li> <li>Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on Accounts Payable policies and procedures.</li> </ul> <p><strong>10% &ndash; Compliance and Reporting</strong></p> <ul> <li>Review and prepare IRS Form 1099 reporting for year-end distribution, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.</li> <li>Maintain signature authority in ledger system.</li> <li>Maintain list and copies of professional services contracts.</li> <li>Assist with audit preparation as needed.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Non-essential/marginal position responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Complete projects/reports as requested by CFO.</li> <li>Provide training as needed to LSUF and LSU staff on the Comprehensive Disbursements Policy and all systems used by Accounts Payable.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>Qualifications Required:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree from an accredited college or university&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience in a supervisory role</li> <li>Experience in accounts payable or accounting</li> <li>Proficient Level in Microsoft Office</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications Preferred:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Master&rsquo;s degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited college or university&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience in a philanthropic or higher education environment</li> <li>Excellent communication and organizational skills&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Competencies:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Critical Thinking: Practices objective rather than subjective modes of reasoning and action.
