Coordinator

Overview: The Facility Coordinator is responsible for executing and ensuring the seamless day-to-day operations related to the LSU Foundation Center for Philanthropy building. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this individual directly manages building functions, resolves issues in real time, and carries out operational tasks to meet OSHA and internal standards for safety and performance.
Responsibilities: <div> <p><strong>75 % Building operations</strong></p> <ul> <li>Act as the primary executor of building operations, handling daily needs, vendor interactions, and site emergencies.&nbsp;</li> <li>Perform or coordinate basic grounds and lawn maintenance, including mowing, trimming, and upkeep of outdoor areas to ensure a safe and professional environment.</li> <li>Responsible for coordinating routine maintenance and repair of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, elevator, and safety systems.&nbsp;</li> <li>Address staff requests for maintenance, custodial services, equipment needs, furniture movement, and HVAC promptly.&nbsp;</li> <li>Implement and track maintenance schedules to ensure consistent building performance.&nbsp;</li> <li>Manage vendor contracts by arranging service, being available onsite as work is conducted, inspecting work, and confirming quality and completion.&nbsp;</li> <li>Execute room set-up for meetings and events, including arranging furniture, coordinating audiovisual needs, and ensuring all supplies are in place and functioning prior to use.&nbsp;</li> <li>Maintain and replenish building materials and supplies, ensuring appropriate storage and distribution.</li> </ul> <p><br /><strong>10 % Maintain and coordinate building security and access system.</strong></p> <p><strong>10 % Assist in the development and maintenance of business continuity and emergency preparedness plans.&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>5 % Perform other related duties as assigned.&nbsp;</strong></p> </div>
Requirements: <p><strong>Qualifications Required:</strong></p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or equivalent</li> <li>Hands-on facilities and building maintenance experience with proven ability to execute operational responsibilities directly</li> <li>Time management skills</li> <li>Ability to communicate professionally</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications Preferred:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 5 years required in facility maintenance environments.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Competencies:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Critical Thinking: Practices objective rather than subjective modes of reasoning and action.
