Student Worker

Overview: <p>The LSU Foundation, LSU&rsquo;s primary fundraising arm for academics, is seeking a student worker to assist the communications and marketing team. This position will provide support on projects that showcase the difference gifts to LSU make in the lives of students, faculty, and staff and the communities they serve every day. The student worker should have a strong interest in the communications, public relations, marketing, and/or advertising fields and should be enthusiastic about taking on a variety of tasks, ranging from errands and clerical work to project development.</p>
Responsibilities: <p><strong>Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Serve as editorial assistant of the biannual magazine, Cornerstone, through transcribing interviews, organizing content, and providing post-production support.</li> <li>Serve as production assistant on various video projects through transcribing interviews and tagging and organizing video and photo assets.</li> <li>Accompany the associate director and videographer and photographer on interviews and shoots.</li> <li>Provide public relations and marketing support by helping to track project results.</li> <li>Conduct, synthesize, and organize project-specific research such as peer reviews.</li> <li>Support basic content management for web and internal communications.</li> <li>Proofread written materials.</li> <li>Participate in creative planning meetings as schedule allows.</li> <li>Perform clerical and data entry tasks related to communications and marketing projects.</li> <li>File documents in departmental archives.</li> <li>Copy, sort, and shred materials.</li> <li>Deliver materials to other campus offices.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Marginal Duties &amp; Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Complete projects/reports as requested.</li> </ul>
