Facilities Coordinator

Overview: <p>The LSU Foundation is seeking a mission-driven, enthusiastic professional with a customer service mind set to serve in the role of Facilities Coordinator. &nbsp;Reporting to the Senior Director of Talent Management and Facilities and coordinating with the Special Projects Coordinator, this position is responsible for the appearance, safety, and functionality of the LSU Foundation Center for Philanthropy, including providing support for meeting and event-related activities.&nbsp;</p> <p>The mission of the LSU Foundation is to cultivate and invest in philanthropic partnerships to advance LSU&rsquo;s academic priorities.</p>
Responsibilities: <p><u>Building management</u></p> <ul> <li>Acts as the first point of contact for building related issues, service calls, and requests including security, access control, safety/code compliance, and evacuation procedures.</li> <li>Manages and is responsible for the monitoring of various building systems: &nbsp;elevator, fire alarm/sprinklers, pest control, waste management, HVAC, janitorial, landscaping, etc.&nbsp;</li> <li>Establishes and maintains positive relationships with vendors, contractors, and related LSU contacts.&nbsp;</li> <li>Serves as the main point of contact for any facilities escalation issues.&nbsp;</li> <li>Addresses work order management using automated ticketing system.&nbsp;</li> <li>Conducts building inspections on a quarterly basis.</li> </ul> <p><u>Event management</u></p> <ul> <li>Set up and break down of all meeting spaces for events, including, but not limited to, table and chair configuration, equipment (audio visual, computer, etc.) for internal and external users.</li> <li>Open and close the building for evening and weekend events as determined by the Director of Donor Relations.</li> </ul> <p><u>Other</u></p> <ul> <li>Conduct on-site visits from potential building users.</li> <li>Perform additional duties as assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>A high school diploma or a General Equivalency Diploma (GED).</li> <li>At least three years of experience in a tenant services or related capacity&nbsp;</li> <li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to work independently or as a team member with or without supervision</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple deadlines and completing priorities</li> <li>This is a full-time position. &nbsp;Standard hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., however, the responsibilities associated with this position do require occasional evening and weekend work, which can often be seasonal, cyclical or emergent in nature. &nbsp;The physical demands of being able to lift or move items over 50 pounds and to regularly walk floor to floor, as well as the exterior of the building, are representative of what must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.</li> </ul>
