Overview: <p>The LSU Foundation is seeking a motivated individual to serve as a Web Communications Coordinator to support its advancement efforts. Reporting to the Senior Director of Communications and Marketing, the individual selected for this position will lead the execution of web communications strategies, with some responsibilities for developing content that supports those strategies. Projects include those related to email marketing, social media, website content management, crowdfunding and digital signage, among others.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Assist the Senior Director of Communications and Marketing in implementing the LSU Foundation&rsquo;s strategic goals and strategies, specifically by ensuring cohesion among web communications and in alignment with overall philanthropic messaging at LSU.&nbsp;</li> <li>Build, schedule, and disseminate all email marketing campaigns, as written and designed by colleagues on the Communications and Marketing team. Campaigns include annual giving solicitations, stewardship outreach, event correspondence, and general communications to donors and prospective donors, as well as large-scale internal communications to the development team.</li> <li>Integrate variable data into email marketing campaigns to personalize the e-giving, -stewardship, and -communications experience for donors.&nbsp;</li> <li>Serve as primary content manager of the LSU Foundation website, working closely with the Assistant Director of Communications, and develop a process for keeping content up to date.</li> <li>Execute social media plan, as set by and in collaboration with the Assistant Director of Communications.</li> <li>Execute all web communications strategies tied to the annual LSU Giving Day.</li> <li>Assist in developing project-specific web communications toolkits for communications and development colleagues campus-wide.</li> <li>Serve as primary content manager of the LSU Foundation&rsquo;s crowdfunding platform.</li> <li>Serve as primary content manager for the LSU Foundation&rsquo;s digital and cloud-based messaging platforms, both current and future.</li> <li>Track, analyze, and report on analytics related to all web communications efforts.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in public relations, English, communications, marketing, journalism, or other area of study with emphasis in written communications</li> <li>A minimum of one year of related experience; may include internship experience in a directly related field</li> <li>Proficiency in operating the Microsoft Office Suite and the internet&nbsp;</li> </ul>
