Overview: Generate demand&nbsp;forecasts based on statistical models, incorporating merchandising and sales data as well as personal analysis into the final forecast.&nbsp; Calculate safety stock values to ensure customer service levels, while also meeting inventory turn goals.&nbsp; Calculate and communicate planned orders to purchasing for execution.&nbsp;
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Generate and review new forecasts monthly.&nbsp; Calculate statistical baseline forecasts at the SKU level, identify trends, make adjustments and analyze outliers.</li> <li>Generate planned orders weekly for purchasing execution. Review total inventory commitment and provide inventory team guidance on inter-plant transfers.&nbsp;&nbsp; Manage overall inventory targets.</li> <li>Identify gaps in the current plans and develop solutions for utilizing inventory positioning and sourcing opportunities.&nbsp; Execute solutions with purchasing and production planning.&nbsp;</li> <li>Coordinate with merchandising on&nbsp;forecasts&nbsp;and with purchasing for product availability and adjust accordingly.&nbsp; Work with purchasing to decide how items will be sourced and calculate and apply launch curves to initial forecasts and understand how the product fits into the existing portfolio.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Maintain forecasts for promotions and customer specific items manually.&nbsp; Confirm customer forecasts with sales&nbsp;on a regular basis.</li> <li>Maintain master data for planning parameters within the system and understand how the various control flags for each item effect forecasting and replenishment planning.</li> <li>Run inventory classifications programs and validate results.&nbsp; Calculate safety stock levels based on code/service level, lead times and forecasted volume.</li> <li>Review monthly forecast accuracy KPIs and perform root cause analysis and execute corrective actions.</li> <li>Operations/Management Project Work</li> <li>Assist with development and implementation of IT applications</li> <li>Provide staffing backup for Logistics</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h2>SCOPE &amp; IMPACT:&nbsp;</h2> <p>Position is responsible for managing: $25M inventory</p> <p>Inventory Turns &gt;&nbsp;2</p> <p>Finished goods in stock service level&nbsp;at&nbsp;95%</p>
