Overview: Come join our team and help us Build Something Amazing.
Responsibilities: &bull; Generate and review new forecasts monthly. Calculate statistical baseline forecasts at the SKU level, identify trends, make adjustments, and analyze outliers.<br />&bull; Generate planned orders weekly for purchasing execution. Review total inventory commitment and provide inventory team guidance on inter-plant transfers. Manage overall inventory targets.<br />&bull; Identify gaps in the current plans and develop solutions for utilizing inventory positioning and sourcing opportunities. Execute solutions with purchasing and production planning.<br />&bull; Coordinate with merchandising on forecasts and with purchasing for product availability and adjust accordingly. Work with purchasing to decide how items will be sourced and calculate and apply launch curves to initial forecasts and understand how the product fits into the existing portfolio.<br />&bull; Maintain forecasts for promotions and customer specific items manually. Confirm customer forecasts with sales on a regular basis.<br />&bull; Maintain master data for planning parameters within the system and understand how the various control flags for each item effect forecasting and replenishment planning.<br />&bull; Run inventory classifications programs and validate results. Calculate safety stock levels based on code/service level, lead times and forecasted volume.<br />&bull; Communicate and manage dropped items to minimize obsolescence.<br />&bull; Review monthly forecast accuracy KPIs and perform root cause analysis and execute corrective actions.<br /><br />SCOPE &amp; IMPACT:<br /><br />This position is responsible for managing approximately $25M in annual inventory on hand with an inventory turn of greater than 7 days. In addition, responsibility will include, maintaining a SKU level forecast of 75%, a covers service level at 95% all while maintaining a customer orders shipped within 4 weeks and greater than 90%.
Requirements: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:<br />&bull; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Supply Chain, Economics, Business or related field with 4-6 years of relevant experience including 1-3 years of supervisory/leadership experience or equivalent.<br />&bull; 2+ years Forecasting Experience<br />&bull; Computer skills: Excel, Access, Business Objects, E1<br /><br />PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:<br />&bull; MBA<br />&bull; Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPMI)<br />&bull; Certified Professional Forecaster (CPF) - (Institute of Business Forecasting &amp; Planning (IBF))<br />&bull; Background in Statistics
