Overview: Come join our team and help us Build Something Amazing.
Responsibilities: &bull; Supports strategic initiatives for the RDC network. Ensures projects deliver all business and technical requirements on-time, on budget, and achieves the expected business value and return on investment. Acts as project lead or subject matter expert (SME) as needed. Coordinates and leads field project execution and ensures adaptation and results. Acts as RMS/E1 trainers as needed.<br />&bull; Works directly with the RDC network partners when needed to drive operational issues to closure, and/or escalates issues and mitigation recommendations to operational leadership.<br />&bull; Develop means to capture and analyze key metric data. Communicate key RDC metrics results to all levels and partners of the extended La-Z-Boy organization. Ensures that progress is being made against strategic initiatives, goals, and metrics.<br />&bull; Analyzes issues critically with problem solving and alternative analysis methodologies to assess operational impact. Makes timely, effective decisions and recommendations.<br />&bull; Fosters a collaborative team approach and strong working relationships across La-Z-Boy business units, functional areas, internal and external distribution centers, and third-party delivery services to support business goals, metrics, and business goals.<br />&bull; Ambassador and role model of iC4 values in all interactions ensuring the RDC network promotes a successful attitude, confidence in leadership and teamwork required to achieve business results.<br />&bull; Provides emergency response support to markets and RDCs experiencing distribution or delivery issues including interim onsite building leadership. Must analyze issues, problem solve and quickly assess issues to provide a swift resolution to meet customer service requirements.<br /><br />SCOPE &amp; IMPACT:<br />Position drives performance and provides continuous improvement support to a Regional Distribution network consisting of up to 14 distribution centers and 6-10 3rd party delivery providers with up to 14 market cross docks. Position is responsible for operational efficiency of RDC Network with an operating budget of over $28 million. Position support delivery activities for up to 200 retail/dealer stores both national and international based with over $550 million in annual delivered sales. This position will have wide reach of impact and influence across all business partners including Supply Chain, Manufacturing (US and International), Quality, Retail, Demand Planning, Independent Dealerships, Major residential Accounts, Joybird and 3rd Party Delivery providers. Position may act as interim RDC General Manager and have up to 5 direct reports.
