Ultimately, La-Z-Boy looks for interns and employees alike who are excited about making houses into homes and taking the opportunity to positively affect the lives of our customers<strong>.</strong></p> <p><strong>The HRIS Internship:</strong></p> <p>The HRIS Intern role will support the HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) Manager, out of the HR Department at La-Z-Boy&rsquo;s World HQ in Monroe, MI. &nbsp;This role will have the opportunity to work on our HCM Implementation of Workday.</p>
Responsibilities: &nbsp;Technical support responsibilities include testing configuration for implementation and system enhancements and assisting with reporting and analytics. User support responsibilities include helping in HRIS Helpdesk queries, submitted to HRIS case management system. Review and update HRIS documentation such as training materials, standard operating process (SOP)Our goal is to provide the intern with a practical, hands-on experience in one or more IT/Systems or HR Technology disciplines and build solid competencies within the HR Technology field.
Requirements: <p><strong>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Currently enrolled in a Four-Year Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree program working towards a degree or concentration in IT/Systems or HR Technology. Results oriented and ability to work independently on projects with deadlines.</li> <li>Demonstrate good judgment and discretion in handling confidential information</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Understanding of concepts used in developing and documenting technical solutions, such as integrations between applications preferred.</li> <li>Strong problem-solving skills</li> <li>Ability to work with individuals at all levels within and outside the company</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Accuracy and attention to detail are critical for success in this position.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Exposure to data management, analytics &amp; reporting, and file upload/download on internet-based applications including but not limited to HRIS or HCM system</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) a must.</li> </ul> <p><strong>ADDITIONAL INFO:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimal travel within the U.S. may be required.</li> <li>Unique opportunity to regularly interact with the senior leadership team and all levels of the corporate organization.</li> <li>Intern will present back to leaders and other interns at the end of the season on accomplishments and give feedback on the internship experience!</li> </ul>
