Responsibilities: &bull; Proactively supports Human Resource Business Partners (Corporate andRDC) in managing department functions for La-Z-Boy Corporate HQ. This may involve creating programs,recommending changes to current processes, staying current on new legislation and working with variousdepartments throughout the organization to implement changes. &bull; Supports employees regarding HumanResource issues including benefits, policy and procedure questions, and employee relations &bull; Responsiblefor leading all efforts around our benefits programs including conducting annual open enrollment, annualwellness screenings and events, and other benefit related events and activities &bull; Collaborates with variousteams for planning employee events, engagement activities, team culture enhancements andcommunications &bull; Responsible for leading the partnership with internal audit, ensuring compliance with theHuman Resource Internal Controls &bull; Actively participates and sometimes leads the onboarding process,including facilitating orientation, New Leader Assimilations &bull; Leads the Summer Internship Program tosupport on-boarding, coordination and planning internship program, including all internship events, finalpresentation documents, internship feedback. Serves as a mentor and advisor to summer interns. &bull; Workclosely with the HRIS and Compensation department to facilitate creation or modifications of roles,coordinate employee changes, organizational changes, and required HRIS system updates (supervisorcodes, job codes, position codes etc.) &bull; Leads the annual I-9 and eVerify audit, ensures ongoing supportand management of the I-9 process &bull; Systems support and management, Jobvite, I-9 advantage etc. &bull;Supports other Human Resources functions on special projects as assigned &bull; Responsible for leadingengagement and retention activities, to include but not limited to, performance management, successionplanning, training, change management, engagement survey action plans, completing exit interviews androot cause analysis/trends &bull; Responsible for the administration of FMLA, Disability, and Worker&rsquo;sCompensation claims by partnering closely with third party administrators to maintain legal and companycompliance. Coordinates disability and other leave pay with the Payroll department. &bull; Maintains and createsemployee files while complying with retention guidelines and ensuring confidential information is filed.SCOPE &amp; IMPACT: This position supports the Human Resource function for multiple leaders and mustwork to prioritize needs, respond to employee concerns and department inquiries across the organization,including Corporate Office, Innovation Center, Residential Plants, and Regional Distribution Centers.
Requirements: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: &bull; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Human Resources or related field with 2-4 years ofrelevant experience, or equivalent. &bull; Proficient in Microsoft Office &bull; Experience with applicant trackingsystems and HRIS systems &bull; Great attention to details and ability to multi-task and manage heavy workload&bull; Ability to maintain confidential information &bull; Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of theorganization &bull; Travel Required: Up to 5% PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: &bull; Knowledge of local andFederal employment laws and regulations &bull; Certified SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHRSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: Operates ina professional office environment, not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
