Overview: </strong><br />The Director of Enterprise Architecture is responsible for leading the development and evolution of the enterprise architecture (EA) program to assist in the creation and alignment of enterprise business and technology strategies and secure, scalable and sustainable development and operations of technology. The director is responsible for the analysis and visualization of complex issues and the impactful presentation of that information to different stakeholder perspectives. The director provides overall direction, guidance, definition and facilitation of architectures and ensures that the overall EA (business, information, application and technology architectures) is enhanced and maintained in a consistent and sustainable manner. The director establishes and implements EA governance framework, practices and processes and is accountable for the design, development and execution of programs and processes that ensure the effective alignment of data, technology and IT resources with business outcomes.<br /><br /> <br /><br /><strong><br/><br/>
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>Defines, implements and executes the vision, processes, standards and methods for the design, development, updating, use, promotion and maintenance of Enterprise Architecture (EA).</li> <li>Builds prototypes to prove technology capabilities to solve current and emerging business problems and opportunities.</li> <li>Leads Enterprise Architecture Council and Solution Delivery Team; provides performance and project feedback, work instructions, guidance, mentoring, and career planning.</li> <li>Defines and collects metrics on the outputs and outcomes of architecture.</li> <li>Leads the research and evaluation of emerging technology and industry and market trends to assist in project/program development and/or operational support activities.</li> <li>Manage architecture input into developing the strategic direction over the business processes, applications, data and integration.</li> <li>Define processes to design and communicate the architecture standards, guidelines and statements of direction by tracking the quality, availability and applicability of data and the integration of architecture applications and standards. Ensuring that architecture standards will allow business needs to be achieved, guiding research on industry standards and technologies to ensure proper questions are raised and answered by stakeholders to ensure the establishment of best practices that guide the design of technology solutions.</li> <li>Manage the architecture process for technology solutions by overseeing the development of the company&rsquo;s data and integration architecture; ensuring appropriate use of enterprise architecture methods and content; ensuring appropriate expertise and capacity are aligned to deliver needs; reviewing and facilitating discussion around architecture alternatives; recommending IT solutions to business leaders based on their business needs; communicating recommendation to senior leadership regarding architecture decisions.</li> <li>Research, propose and support the adoption of new technologies within the data and integration domains by collaborating with IT and business leadership to influence decisions regarding technology investment; driving innovation across the team using a deep understanding of how enterprise architecture works within the organization.</li> <li>Collaborate with project teams to design effective IS infrastructure, enterprise solutions, Cloud technology and architecture, while supporting key projects</li> </ul> <strong>SCOPE &amp; IMPACT: </strong><br />Leads employees and teams (corporate and contract resources) to implement new systems using the new technologies. Responsible for the introduction, design, build and implementation of multi-million-dollar technologies supporting the Company&rsquo;s enterprise.
Requirements: <strong>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Computer Science or related field with 8-10 years of relevant experience or equivalent.</li> <li>Five plus years of Supervisory/Leadership Experience.</li> <li>Familiarity with information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, infrastructure and operations, EA and ITIL and COBIT frameworks.</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation, collaboration, negotiation and planning. Proven ability to influence and communicate effectively across functional lines and to diverse audiences.</li> <li>Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), SOA, APIs, data strategy &amp; governance, microservices, event-driven IT and predictive analytics.</li> <li>Keen understanding of budgets/financials and measuring business value via metrics. Demonstrated use of metrics to measure success or improvements in areas of responsibility.</li> <li>Ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts and technologies</li> <li>Familiarity with information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, infrastructure and operations, and EA and ITIL frameworks</li> <li>Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), SOA, APIs, data strategy &amp; governance, microservices, event-driven IT and predictive analytics</li> <li>Demonstrated senior-level IT management skills</li> <li>UP to 15% Travel.</li> </ul> <strong>PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:</strong> <br />Master&rsquo;s Degree.<br /> <br /><strong>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong> May have 3 or more direct reports <br /><br /><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:</strong><br />Office environment / no specific or unusual physical or environmental demands.
