Overview: Provide analysis and reporting that supports management decision making. Lead small strategic projects that would involve data gathering, business intelligence, report writing, and execution. Be responsible for data administration and knowledgeable with data management and analytical tools such as (but not a complete list): Excel, DOMO, APT, Access, E1, Business Objects, Analytics, and Site Intel. Communicate recommendations derived from analyses with functional and senior leadership teams to drive change management initiatives.<strong><br /></strong>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Conduct financial/strategic analysis leading to improved decision making: including ad-hoc analysis requests, developing new approaches to analysis and creation of new reports utilizing new mechanisms. Participate in annual planning processes, maintain updates on annual plan progress and report results. Present analytical findings to business leadership. Presentations can include written and oral.</li> <li>Lead small strategic projects that may involve cross functional groups and teams, or engage with external vendors/suppliers. Ability to see beyond the basic project and provide strategic direction, raise issues, resolve conflicts are all part of this role. Time management, deadline management and managing deliverables are key for this role.</li> <li>Generate and issue recurring reports. Reports could be used in senior or executive management meetings and reviews, potentially as back-up for external reporting. Develop new reports as needed when new analysis is required. Educate other team members on reports and reporting tools.</li> <li>Gathers internal and external information to inform the strategic planning process. Analyzes new business opportunities by gathering necessary data and building financial models. Assists in the development of analysis of acquisitions or dispositions of business units. Monitors the external environment and provides intelligence on competitor&rsquo;s strategies.</li> <li>Data management/business intelligence - maintaining, updating, upgrading or expanding the data tools used for analysis and projects. If needed, identify new tools and work with the team to incorporate them into the business.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Strategy, Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or other relevant degree or equivalent</li> <li>Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills</li> <li>Ability to work within a team-based environment on multiple projects at once and collaborate within the organization to gather necessary information.</li> <li>Strong proficiency and experience in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.</li> <li>Demonstrated capability in handling highly complex analytical problems with ability to resolve problems under strict deadlines.</li> <li>Ability to recognize process improvements, initiate and make recommendations to the manager not only on your own duties but those of others. Ability to adapt quickly to changes in priorities.</li> <li>Up to 5% travel.</li> </ul> <br /><strong>PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Experience with database software (e.g. Access) and statistics software (e.g. SAS) is preferred along with the ability to decipher which of these is the best tool for any given task.</li> <li>Ability to work across multiple programming languages (e.g., VBA, Python, SQL, MYSQL, Redshift, R, C++)</li> <li>Basic knowledge of management strategies, financial accounting, mergers and acquisitions, supply chain, manufacturing, and retail operations.</li> <li>Communication of ideas, results, and recommendations with Executive level audience, including C-suite</li> <li>Project management skills to drive change across organization and accomplish stated goals</li> </ul> <br /><strong>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong> Responsible for directing or overseeing other employees&rsquo; daily work activities but is not responsible for undertaking or recommending the following employment actions: hiring, termination, corrective action and performance reviews.<br /><br /><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:</strong><br />Office environment/no specific or unusual physical environmental demands.
