Overview: This position plans and coordinates manufacturing processes at all manufacturing sites responding to issues and concerns related to sub-assemblies and final assemblies as well as product specifications utilizing the most efficient use of resources. Provides internal subject matter expertise to assist with designs as well as develop and integrate new technology into the product/manufacturing process. Supports manufacturing operations and manages special projects as directed.<strong><br /></strong>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Develops, evaluates and improves manufacturing methods. Determines the processes identifies the materials and supplies to be used and participates in the design and build of appropriate fixtures necessary for efficient and cost-effective manufacturing while ensuring quality standards can be met.</li> <li>Provides Subject Matter Expert (SME) support in component manufacturing processes including metal stamping, CNC machining, welding, and E-coat paint, as well as sub-assembly and assembly systems incorporating robotics and vision systems technologies.</li> <li>Assists the manufacturing facilities in the preparation of capital expenditure proposals. Reviews and analyzes capital expenditure proposals to confirm benefits derived, review alternatives, and justify expenditures.</li> <li>Leads project teams or participate in project teams developing project plans that specify objectives, schedules, deliverables, funding, resource requirements, risks, and contingencies. Analyzes and plans workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.</li> <li>Assists procurement in the identification of vendors by providing product specifications, material requirements, according to industry standards and expected quality standards.</li> <li>Provides engineering support to production sites to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.</li> <li>Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing assembly requirements and potential.</li> </ul> <br /><strong>SCOPE &amp; IMPACT: </strong><br />Requires a highly qualified individual to plan, design, arrange, change, and optimize the manufacturing process. With a thorough knowledge of the manufacturing concepts and an ability to grasp modern technology quickly this position has a high impact on reducing downtime, improving efficiencies, and satisfying customer expectations for product quality.
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree with 2-4 years of relevant experience or equivalent</li> <li>Experience with MS Office, and MS Visio application software, as well as mainframe applications.
