Overview: Provides analytical support to Inventory Planning and Demand Planning functions. Manages end-of life inventory activities, including promotion development, financial impacts, and final disposition at the plants. Provides weekly outlook on total inventory investment. Calculates SKU level forecasts for non-branded production. Validates that demand plans align with current production plans.<br/><br/>
Responsibilities: &bull; Collaborates with Sales and Merchandising to identify, review and develop plans to promote and sell discontinued and aged cover and parts inventories<br />&bull; Coordinates financial impacts of inventory adjustments with accounting team<br />&bull; Coordinates end to end planning for Promotions, Special Projects, and Non-branded production.<br />&bull; Maintains and communicates cover availability for all hot buy programs.<br />&bull; Maintains accurate records on Product Life-Cycle for each SKU<br />&bull; Prepares weekly Supply/Demand report and analyzes monthly variances to plan<br />&bull; Maintains tools to provide forward forecasts of division cover inventory by class<br />&bull; Manages distribution processes through alignment of cover inventory between distribution centers and plants along with managing communication of those movements to all stakeholders.<br />&bull; Prepares and distributes weekly inventory reports, providing insight into key inventory metrics<br />&bull; Maintains and validates business data and perform ad-hoc data analysis.<br />&bull; Supports supply chain initiatives with data analysis and reporting.<br />&bull; Reviews reasons for excess, slow moving and obsolete inventory and put mitigation in place to improve inventory quality.<br />&bull; Other duties as assigned.<br /><br /><strong>SCOPE &amp; IMPACT:</strong><br />This position helps to assure that discontinued inventory ($5M-$7M onhand) and aged inventory (~$500K onhand) is identified in a timely manner, promoted and sold. This position validates that demand plans and supply plans remain in balance and alerts key stakeholders when we are not meeting our forecasts.
Requirements: &bull; Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Supply Chain or Business Management, with 0-2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent.<br />&bull; Travel Required: None<br /><br /><strong>PREFERED REQUIREMENTS:</strong><br />&bull; APICS Certification<br />&bull; Strong analytical, quantitative, data management, and problem solving skills<br />&bull; Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel. Business Objects, MS Access, and JD Edwards/Oracle experience a plus.<br />&bull; A high degree of customer service is required for this position.<br /><br /><strong>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong>&nbsp;None<br /><br /><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:</strong><br />Office environment/no specific or unusual physical or environmental demands.
