Overview: This position leads the annual and interim budget processes for the Retail division, by communicating effectively and timely, creating relevant materials, overseeing consolidation review and necessary revision oversight, and leading special projects for the division (including system conversions and ad hoc financial reporting).<br/><br/>
Responsibilities: &bull; Manages the preparation of all financial statement forecasts (monthly, quarterly, Annual Operating Plan and as otherwise required), including trend analysis.<br />&bull; In conjunction with the Retail Accounting Team, prepares and presents variance analyses of actual results against the forecast to determine areas for improvement.<br />&bull; Partners with management to ensure understanding of financial goals and performance against those goals by helping to identify and manage risks and opportunities.<br />&bull; With leadership approval, manages new forms of analysis through execution that continue to sharpen the business&rsquo;s ability to understand its strengths, weaknesses, threats and opportunities.&nbsp;<br />&bull; Creates Retail R&amp;A requests for capital spending, lease extensions, new store openings, etc. via return on investment analyses and manages fixed asset capitalization process.<br />&bull; Participates in acquisition activities, including development of pro forma financials, calculation of purchase price and finalization of the opening balance sheet.<br />&bull; Leads the project management activities for ad hoc projects, such as system conversions, by partnering with IT and other business partners.<br />&bull; Communicates and works effectively with all levels of employees and management. Assists with creating weekly updates, monthly reporting and quarterly business review presentations.<br />&bull; Performs other duties as directed by the Director of Retail Finance &amp; Accounting.<br /><br /><strong>SCOPE &amp; IMPACT:</strong><br />This position helps support the financial operations of the Retail Division (CY19 sales of ~$600 million). This position will lead the forecasting effort for the division, reporting directly to the Director of Retail Finance &amp; Accounting.
