Overview: The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for the conceptualization and implementation of design solutions that adhere to marketing strategies and business goals. Coordinate execution of consumer-facing advertising in support of the marketing department, and other departments, as necessary. Design and produce documents for omnichannel advertising campaigns, promotional marketing materials, consumer communications and business communications, all consistent with the La-Z-Boy brand standards. Coach and mentor designers on assignments to expand skill sets, capabilities and elevate the quality of work.
Responsibilities: &bull; Conceptualizes persuasive and engaging design solutions that align with strategic marketing priorities from concept to completion.<br />&bull; Designs and leads overall theme development for seasonal marketing communications and campaigns.<br />&bull; Oversees production of all promotional creative, from conception to completion to ensure consistency across channels.<br />&bull; Evaluate work of junior team members to ensure effectiveness of messaging, consistency across channels and integrity of brand.<br />&bull; Maintain and promote an internal awareness of industry design trends and standards along with a focus on processes and tools.<br />&bull; Onboards new creative team members to get acclimated on process, procedures, and brand standards.<br />&bull; Proactively solicit feedback from others and offer thoughtful critiques that help elevate the work and push creative boundaries.<br />&bull; Inspire a positive creative culture by projecting a sense of ownership that elevates the standards and quality of work.<br />&bull; Works collaboratively with Copywriters and other designers in concepting and ideation on any given assignment.<br />&bull; Confidently present to leadership team and corporate executives, providing rationale for the work.<br />&bull; Ensure the use of analytics and customer data to navigate direction and make creative decisions.<br /><br /><strong>SCOPE &amp; IMPACT:</strong><br />Mentors Designers in efforts to elevate skill sets and the quality of work. Responsible for the conceptual development of Marketing initiatives. Ensure assignments directly impact consumer demand for La-Z-Boy products and help drive the business. Designs and develops marketing solutions for the internal organization and consumer-facing advertising in all channels. Lead assignments that. Assignments directly impacts same-store-sales and new product launch success (placement/sell-through). Ensure content developed is able to be leveraged by all dealer and retail locations across North America.
Requirements: &bull; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Graphic Design or related field with 4-6 years of professional experience, or equivalent.<br />&bull; Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of work in multiple channels.<br />&bull; Demonstrates solid understanding of the fundamentals of design and visual communications.<br />&bull; Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in Adobe CC and Microsoft Office applications in a Mac OS environment.<br />&bull; HTML5.Proficiency with Interactive, web, email, and print design.<br />&bull; Motivated, self-starter with an action-oriented approach and can-do attitude.<br />&bull; Capable of juggling multiple projects with competing priorities and meeting all deadlines without compromising quality.<br />&bull; Demonstrate the ability to lead projects on behalf of a larger team.<br />&bull; Excellent written and verbal communication skills.<br />&bull; Strategic thinker who can clearly communicate their vision.<br />&bull; Take a proactive approach to assignments, bringing solutions as challenges and obstacles arise.<br /><br /><strong>PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:</strong><br />&bull; Master&rsquo;s degree in Graphic Design or related field<br />&bull; Experience designing in emerging platforms (mobile, tablets, social, etc.)<br />&bull; Leading teams, mentoring, and coaching Designers.
