Overview: The Production Artist assists design teams in the production and coordination services of internal/external communication materials in support of the marketing department and other departments as necessary. Executes and creates production-ready files for both digital and print projects created by Designers to ensure precision and accuracy of final files. Format and preflight final projects in a variety of channels for consumer-facing advertising, promotional marketing materials and collateral, sales aids and business communications consistent with the La-Z-Boy brand standards.
Responsibilities: &bull; Produces final, production-ready files for all digital channels including but not limited to la-z-boy.com, digital display, banner ads, in-store digital signage and social media channels.<br />&bull; Executes design projects in collaboration with internal designers, project leads, external agencies and resources as necessary to achieve communications objectives, quality standards, budgetary requirements and on-time delivery.<br />&bull; Color corrects, retouches and manipulates product images, visual assets and photography.<br />&bull; Proofs all outgoing work for accuracy, design integrity and brand standards.<br />&bull; Troubleshoot issues or concerns that arise during the production process<br />&bull; Produces work that is optimized for digital media channels.<br />&bull; Maintains, stores and back-ups all project files according to systematic process/procedures.<br />&bull; Establishes, maintains and manages file structure and file naming convention on creative server.<br />&bull; Keep up to date on all existing software applications. Learn new applications and technologies as they become available.<br />&bull; Provide Digital Asset Management duties including but not limited to uploading assets, archiving expired assets, entering metadata, addressing user inquiries and maintaining the tool&rsquo;s capabilities.<br />&bull; Works collaboratively with Copywriters and other designers in concepting and ideation on any given assignment.<br /><br /><strong>SCOPE &amp; IMPACT:</strong><br />Initiatives directly impact consumer demand for La-Z-Boy products. Content efforts contribute towards both web and store traffic. Develops projects for the internal organization and consumer-facing (multi-channel execution). Executes marketing solutions for the internal organization and omni-channel consumer-facing advertising. Assignments directly impacts same-store-sales and product launch success (placement/sell-through). Content developed is leveraged by nearly 2,900 retail locations across North America.
Requirements: <strong>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS</strong>:<br />&bull; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Graphic Design or related field with 2-4 years of relevant experience, or equivalent.<br />&bull; Ability to produce production-ready work with a cohesive look and feel, following industry standards and brand guidelines.<br />&bull; Extremely detailed oriented with ability to work in a fast paced, high volume environment.<br />&bull; Proven proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat and Microsoft Office applications in a Mac OS.<br />&bull; Experience in retouching and color correcting.<br />&bull; Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of professional work and demonstrates solid understanding of the fundamentals of visual communications and production techniques in print and digital channels.<br />&bull; Ability to troubleshoot all file types that come from outside sources (Ad agencies, freelancers, etc.)<br />&bull; Motivated, self-starter with an action oriented and can-do attitude.<br />&bull; Outstanding organizational, project management and file organization skills.<br />&bull; Strong analytical skills<br />&bull; Proactive approach to the work, bringing solutions as challenges arise.<br />&bull; Capable of juggling multiple projects with competing priorities and meeting all deadlines without compromising quality.<br />&bull; No travel required<br /><br /><strong>PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:</strong><br />&bull; HTML5, Adobe animate and Adobe After Effects experience<br />&bull; Print and digital design and experience<br /><br /><strong>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong>&nbsp;None<br /><br /><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT</strong>:<br />Office environment/no specific or unusual physical environmental demands.<br /><br /><strong>CORE ATTRIBUTES:</strong><br />Communicate Transparently<br />Lead the Team<br />Impact and Influence<br />Deliver Results<br />Coach and Develop<br /><br /><strong>OTHER DUTIES</strong>: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the incumbent for this job.
