Overview: This position has overall responsibility for a 100,000 to 200,000 square foot Regional Distribution Center (RDC), supporting floor stock deliveries to Company&rsquo;s Furniture Gallery stores and home deliveries to the end consumer. The RDC Manager manages an operating budget of $4 to $5 million and $2-$3 million in inventory investment. This position directs all receiving, stocking, inventory, and home delivery related activities in this operation. The RDC Manager acts as a business partner in support of the Company&rsquo;s Retail Furniture Gallery Stores and Independent Dealers who are serviced through the RDC. Assist other members of Management Team to achieve Division Plans, Initiatives and Goals.
Responsibilities: &bull; Oversee RDC Operations for the entire Regional area and a staff of 20-30 people and 2-3 supervisors.<br />&bull; Oversee repair shop including monitoring, scheduling, costs, parts ordering, performance and customer satisfaction provided by repair services.<br />&bull; Direct and oversee customer delivery service including monitoring scheduling, costs, performance and customer satisfaction provided by delivery service. Oversee store customer satisfaction by monitoring delivery operations. This includes coordinating and facilitating the store scheduling of customer deliveries, optimizes delivery capacities and routings, monitors KPI's for the delivery companies including surveys and ride-a longs.<br />&bull; Responsible for implementation and consistent compliance of policies and procedures for the RDC.<br />&bull; Provide guidance and assistance to warehouse operations; receiving, stocking picking, prepping, transfers, record keeping, inventory control and cycles, ticketing and bar coding, and warehouse personnel.<br />&bull; Direct and oversee the successful integration of new Furniture Galleries in the supported region for initial floor stocks as well as the Home Delivery program.<br />&bull; Deliver and / or meet KPI targets on Productivity, Cost Management, Delivery NPS scores and Building Metrics ( Safety, 5S compliance, Self audit results, inventory shrink%, Refusal percentage, Cycle count on -time completion) and provide timely reporting of operational KPI's.<br />&bull; Establish Warehouse Operations and capabilities to allow the stores sales and merchandising teams to focus on sales growth (in store and in home) and stores presentation with excellent customer service functions supporting their efforts. Establish warehouse operations and capabilities to efficiently and profitably achieve the planned sales growth of stores and product expansion (within region) of Upholstery, Case Goods and Accessories.<br />&bull; Oversee relationship of 3rd party providers for home delivery. Direct and oversee customer delivery service including monitoring scheduling costs, approving of weekly billings, performance and customer satisfaction provided by the delivery service.<br />&bull; Responsibilities may include redistribution activities to support manufacturing and/ or end product deliveries. Support computer system conversion and implement new warehouse procedures as required.<br /><br /><strong>SCOPE &amp; IMPACT:</strong><br />May have up to (4) four direct reports and up to fifty (50) indirect reports. This position manages an operating budget of $4 to $5 million and $2 to $3 million in inventory investment. Responsible for AOP results, Building Metrics (Safety, 5S Compliance, Self audit results, inventory shrink%, Refusal percentage, and Cycle count on-time completion) and Delivery performance. Support Delivery activities for 26 to 80 retail stores/ dealers both national and international.
Requirements: <strong>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:</strong><br />&bull; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Business, with 6-8 years of relevant experience, or equivalent<br />&bull; 5+ years of supervisory / leadership experience.<br />&bull; Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint<br />&bull; Facility Layout experience<br />&bull; Familiarity with GAAP<br />&bull; Able to analyze Profit and Loss (P/L) statement<br />&bull; Accomplished in accounting, financial analysis and planning<br />&bull; Knowledgeable in managing Profit and Loss (P/L).<br />&bull; Experience with Warehouse Management Systems.<br />&bull; Experience managing entry level to management -level employees<br />&bull; Experienced in process analysis and implementing best practices<br />&bull; Distribution Center operations experience<br />&bull; Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.<br />&bull; Strong leadership skills and highly proficient in training and coaching.<br />&bull; 10% Travel Required<br /><br /><strong>PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:</strong><br />&bull; Master&rsquo;s Degree in Business or Logistics<br />&bull; Bilingual English and Spanish is preferred, but not required.<br />&bull; Previous experience managing a 100,000-200,000 sq. foot warehouse operations, consumer product background<br /><br /><strong>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong>&nbsp;Up to (4) four direct reports and up to fifty (50) indirect reports.<br /><br /><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:</strong><br />Office environment/no specific or unusual physical or environmental demands.<br /><br /><strong>CORE ATTRIBUTES:</strong><br />Communicate Transparently<br />Lead the Team<br />Impact and Influence<br />Deliver Results<br />Coach and Develop<br /><br /><strong>OTHER DUTIES</strong>: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the incumbent for this job.
