Overview: This position is responsible for the full recruiting life cycle of the Dayton facility, including: internal bid/request process, sourcing, screening, interviewing and recommending external and/or internal candidates, background/drug screening and new hire paperwork. Develops and maintains strong partnerships with hiring managers to outline recruiting strategy and ensure quality of candidates presented for all open positions develops an exceptional candidate experience in line with company’s employment brand.<br/><br/>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Partner with hiring managers to develop targeted recruiting plans to address staffing needs, while ensuring a quality candidate experience and educating managers on legal compliance. Analyze and report on key trends, initiatives, competitive activities, and industry best practices to benchmark activities and measure progress.</li> <li>Identify candidates through the use of internal and external databases/job boards. Source candidates through social media, networking, cold calling, associations, etc. to supplement candidate pools and identify key talent.&nbsp; Act as the point of contact for recruiting agencies when needed. Develop sourcing strategies that support business need and ensure high quality candidate pools.</li> <li>Review applications for employment, comparing qualifications and salary requests to posted requirements.&nbsp; Maintain applicant tracking logs to ensure accurate and up to date information for compliance with state and federal employment law.</li> <li>Conduct pre-screen calls; Schedule and conduct behavioral-based interviews with candidates; identify qualified candidates who can successfully align with La-Z-Boy's production requirements, leadership model and core values. Coordinate travel arrangements when necessary.</li> <li>Partner with hiring managers and HR business partners to develop a competitive offer of employment.&nbsp; Present selected candidate with offer package including basic job duties and responsibilities, work schedules and conditions, compensation and benefits, policies, promotional opportunities and other information as relevant.</li> <li>Provide regular updates to hiring managers, HR business partners and other stakeholders as appropriate on pipeline development and progress of candidates&nbsp;&nbsp; Develop and maintain relationships with hiring managers and HR business partners.&nbsp; Deliver exceptional candidate experience.</li> <li>Conduct full onboarding flow up to and including New Hire Orientation and coordinating arrangements for candidate&rsquo;s first day of training.</li> <li>Maintain community relationship and company image by participating in job fairs and school career days.&nbsp;</li> <li>Maintain relationship with state career services, complying with all regulations while partnering to administer state grant reimbursement programs.</li> <li>Assist in the development of job descriptions and evaluations.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <br />SCOPE &amp; IMPACT:&nbsp;<br />Support the recruiting activities for the Dayton Plant and Plant management level positions. The position supports a campus of 1,400 employees engaged in diversified manufacturing, technical, professional and managerial activities. Must influence and coordinate with a significant number of management personnel to staff open positions. The success of this position has substantial impact on the efficiency and profitability of the campus. The Dayton campus delivers 345M in sales annually.
Requirements: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:<br /> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Business Administration or Human Resource Management or at least 4-6 years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li> <li>Full-cycle recruitment experience, preferably in a production environment.</li> <li>Proficient use of Microsoft Suite applications such as Word and Excel, and the ability to obtain Lawson systems and Kronos program knowledge.</li> <li>Familiar with current employment law related to recruiting and staffing.</li> <li>Up to 5% travel.</li> </ul> <br />PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:&nbsp;<br /> <ul> <li>Experience with applicant tracking systems.</li> </ul> <br />SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None<br /><br />PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:<br /> <ul> <li>The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
