Responsibilities: <strong>TEAM POSITIONS:<br /></strong><br /><strong>Upholster:</strong><br />o Knock down all sharp corners of frame<br />o Use of staple gun to staple materials<br />o Use of hammer to insert tack strip, panels, etc<br />o Use of staple puller to retract improper staples<br />o Use of additional air tools to assemble components as necessary (drill, hog ring gun, hot glue gun, etc)<br /><strong><br />Framer:</strong><br />o Use of frame gun to staple materials<br />o Proper glue and/or wax application per specification<br />o Use of additional air tools to assemble components as necessary (drill, crimping gun, chisel tool, etc)<br />o Use of glue scraper for proper clean up<br />o Trigger blue light to signal stocker for replenishment<br />Cushion Process<br />o Validate unit cover to ticket in each batch<br />o Coordinate work flow in cell<br />o Insert stuffing materials into cover components<br />o Use of machine to seal and quilt<br />o Use of staple gun to staple materials<br /><br /><strong>Final Assembly:</strong><br />o Assemble components into completed unit<br />o Use of staple gun to staple materials<br />o Use of tape dispenser<br />o Use of additional air tools to assemble components as necessary (drill, tack gun, etc)<br />o Oil mechanism as required by specification<br />o Scan ticket to show unit complete<br />o Operate Crane for the Sleeper Sofa Units<br /><br /><strong>Packaging:</strong><br />o Use of staple gun to staple materials<br />o Use of additional air tools to assemble components as necessary (drill, tape dispenser, staple gun, etc.)<br />o Use of banding and up ender equipment<br />o Use of tape gun to properly secure packaging materials<br />o Apply ticket to finished package in proper location<br />o Move unit to alternate location as needed<br />o Install mechanism assembly (power and non-power) &ndash; weight will vary depending on mechanism (15-25 lbs)<br />o Other duties as assigned
Requirements: <strong>MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:</strong><br />&bull; High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred<br />&bull; Basic reading and writing skills<br />&bull; Completion of In house training curriculum (prior to release to cell production)<br />&bull; Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite Package) for final assembly position<br />&bull; Have color vision for cushion processing position<br />&bull; Ability to read a tape measure for frame assembly position<br />&bull; While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, pull and feel.<br />&bull; The employee is frequently required to stand; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch.<br />&bull; The employee is occasionally required to walk, talk, and hear.<br />&bull; The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.<br />&bull; Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.<br /><br /><strong>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong>&nbsp;None<br /><br /><strong>SPECIFIC PPE REQUIREMENTS:</strong>&nbsp;Safety glasses are to be worn at all times. Hearing protection and gloves is required if framing, all other positions are optional.
