Overview: Coordination of engineering changes between R&amp;D, other facilities, and internal departments.&nbsp; Coordinate and lead the product launch of new styles in cooperation with the Plant Training group.&nbsp;
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>In order of importance, list up to nine essential and/or other key responsibilities. Key responsibilities are defined as the tasks, duties, and responsibilities that are most important to get the job done. What do you do? How do you do it? What is the end result?</li> <li>Lead the implementation of engineering changes and new product launch through production for the Dayton Campus. This involves communication with Monroe, other locations, and internal departments and scheduling to ensure a smooth implementation.</li> <li>Distribution of all documentation sent from Monroe or other locations regarding engineering changes, new styles, and other information related to the product.</li> <li>Generating the appropriate correspondence required to submit requests for engineering change to Monroe or other locations which may require development work and coordination of research by focus groups, P.I, and/or C.I.</li> <li>Coordinate New Style Launch verifications for all New Styles division-wide. This includes coordinating pre-verification information, scheduling and executing verifications for styles, communicating and collaborating with inside and outside departments (R&amp;D, Merchandizing, Division Quality etc.) and other plants to ensure all stakeholders are included in the verification process and results.</li> <li>Ensuring New Style Launch projects are executed on-time.</li> <li>Follow-up with outside departments and other plants to ensure all changes resulting from the verification and validation processes are implemented effectively.</li> <li>Develop and manage systems and metrics to drive continuous improvement in Engineering Change and New Style Launch management.</li> <li>Maintain the use of training notes, example, Bill of Materials, training video and upholstery notes.</li> <li>Travel to other locations or destinations as necessary to support new product launches.</li> <li>Follow up on Plant processes or Plant non-conforming issues; review with Research and Development, Plant Quality Department, and local management the corrective actions to be taken for improvement of compliance.</li> <li>Reporting responsibilities required for new products.</li> <li>Approve new products and Engineering Changes for production.</li> <li>Assist with the Build-A-Chair events.</li> <li>Assist with launching New Innovative Product. (Division).</li> </ul> <br />SCOPE &amp; IMPACT: <br />List any quantitative measures or information that define the size, scope, or impact to the organization of the position.
Requirements: <ul> <li>Must be fully trained in Upholstery and have knowledge of Framing and Sub Upholstery processes.</li> <li>Trained in Project Management</li> <li>Internal Quality Auditing</li> <li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, prints, and procedure manuals.</li> <li>Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.</li> <li>Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.</li> <li>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.</li> <li>Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.</li> <li>To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of PowerPoint, Visio, Microsoft Word, Excel, Enovia, and AutoCAD and Agile.</li> <li>Required CQAP training.</li> </ul> <br />PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: <br /> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s or Associates degree preferred.</li> <li>Six-Sigma Green Belt Preferred</li> </ul>
