Overview: <p>JOB TITLE: Material Handler &ndash; Wood Room<br /><br />GRADE/LEVEL: N3 / Level 1 &ndash; Entry $11.63 &ndash; Top Out $14.54<br /><br />SCHEDULE:Monday &ndash; Friday (Mandatory OT on Saturday)<br /><br />HOURS: 2nd Shift: 3:30 p.m. &ndash; 2:00 a.m.<br /><br />FLSA: Non-Exempt &amp; Safety Sensitive Position<br /><br />DEPARTMENT: 23011<br /><br />LOCATION:Siloam Springs<br /><br />REPORTS TO:Materials Supervisor<br /><br /><br />BASIC FUNCTION:</p> <p>Performs skilled&nbsp;materials handling related tasks in various positions throughout the plant.&nbsp; Operates various types of equipment such as&nbsp;Order&nbsp;Pickers, WAV&rsquo;s, and foot powered mouse cart&nbsp;to perform tasks as well as uses a computer&nbsp;to track locations and quantities of product and use of web based programs.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Accurately pick&nbsp;materials&nbsp;to&nbsp;and&nbsp;from&nbsp;storage and&nbsp;then&nbsp;to production&nbsp;areas.</li> <li>Ability to operate&nbsp;powered and non-powered equipment to move material/product in for production needs.</li> <li>Performs daily safety checks of&nbsp;powered and non-powered&nbsp;equipment.</li> <li>Performs clean-up in and around material storage locations.</li> <li>Maintains accurate inventory tracking records&nbsp;by reporting all location moves.</li> <li>Moves product and performs accurate inventory tracking.</li> <li>Responsible for gathering&nbsp;parts for requisition sheets no matter there location&nbsp;in the plant.</li> <li>Comply with all the La-Z-Boy rules and policies.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Prior experience in materials handling or closely related job.</li> <li>Computer and scanning skills, including simple detail lookup into MRP&nbsp;system.</li> <li>Ability to&nbsp;count&nbsp;accurately.</li> <li>Ability to accurately recognize part numbers.</li> <li>Good organizations skills.</li> <li>Effective communication skills.</li> <li>Good attendance.</li> <li>Physical requirements of&nbsp;the&nbsp;position&nbsp;include bending, climbing, reaching&nbsp;and&nbsp;lifting up to&nbsp;50 pounds.</li> <li>Good attendance record</li> <li>Safety conscious</li> </ul> <br /> <p>SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION:</p> <p>The Company may&nbsp;prohibit a qualifying medical marijuana patient from working in a safety-sensitive position&nbsp;(operating equipment, machinery, or production or manufacturing processes)&nbsp;based on&nbsp;a&nbsp;good-faith belief that the patient&nbsp;is&nbsp;engaged in current marijuana use.&nbsp;&nbsp;&ldquo;Safety-sensitive positions&rdquo;&nbsp;are positions involving safety-sensitive functions pursuant to rules, guidelines, or regulations adopted by federal or state agencies, or&nbsp;positions that&nbsp;the Company&nbsp;designates&nbsp;in writing as &ldquo;safety sensitive&rdquo; because working in the positions&nbsp;while under the influence of marijuana can pose a threat to health or safety, such as&nbsp;positions where an attention lapse could result in injury, illness, or death.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>SPECIFIC PPE REQUIREMENTS:&nbsp;&nbsp;Safety glasses are to be worn at all times.&nbsp; Hearing protection is optional.&nbsp;&nbsp;Gloves may be required&nbsp;when moving or transporting wood&nbsp;or metal materials.&nbsp;Hard hats required in rack storage area.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>COVID REQUIREMENT:&nbsp;Follow all&nbsp;company&nbsp;health screening protocol&nbsp;daily.
