The role is responsible for the effective and profitable management of the daily aspects of warehouse personnel and operations.</em>
Responsibilities: <em>●&nbsp;</em>Support and coordinate all activities related to ramping up the center and its operations<br />● Work together with Joybird Distribution team in all activities related to ramping up the center and its operations.<br />● Actively be involved in continuous improvement of all aspects of the operation and distribution center utilization as well as supporting systems.<br />● Control and manage inventory with an accuracy level of 99%<br />● Enforce all company rules, regulations, policies and procedures with HR<br />● Ensure orders ship on-time to appropriate destinations with correct quantities<br />● Development of warehouse team by selecting, orientating, and training employees with HR<br />● Management of warehouse team by appraisals, coaching, counseling, mentoring, monitoring and disciplinary actions with HR<br />● Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets<br />● Schedule and track inbound and outgoing shipments<br />● Ensure compliance with all shipping and inventory SOPs.<br />● Ensure efficient use of distribution center space and proper layout design.<br /><br /><em><strong>SCOPE &amp; IMPACT:</strong></em><br />Incumbent will assist in building the process for Joybird distribution. Manage the East Coast distribution including 40 million in sales and shipments.
Requirements: <em><strong>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:</strong><br /><br />●</em>&nbsp;Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Business, Logistics or related field with 4-6 years of relevant experience, or equivalent<br />● 5+ years of supervisory experience in warehousing, receiving, inventory control or materials management including evaluating, mentoring, and developing employees; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees.<br />● Strong change management skills.<br />● Deadline awareness and ability to work under pressure<br />● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.<br />● Proficient in MS Office, Google Suite and inventory management software<br />● Deadline awareness and ability to work under pressure<br />● Travel required: 10%<em><br /><br /><br /><strong>PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:</strong><br /></em><br />● 7-10 years of experience in warehousing, receiving, inventory control or materials management<br />● Fluent Spanish language skills<em><br /><br /><strong>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong>&nbsp;</em>2-3 direct reports<br /><br /><em><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT</strong>:<br />●&nbsp;</em>Write documents, reports, etc. using a writing instrument (e.g., pencil, pen) or computer.<br />● Deadline awareness and ability to work under pressure<br />● Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.<br />● Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs; occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.<br />● Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl<br />● Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance<br />● Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.<em><br /><br /><strong>CORE ATTRIBUTES:</strong><br /></em>Communicate Transparently<br />Lead the Team<br />Impact and Influence<br />Deliver Results<br />Coach and Develop<em><br /><br /><strong>OTHER DUTIES:</strong>&nbsp;Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the incumbent for this job.
