Overview: The Human Resources Representative assists in the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource office. Assist in numerous employee relation activities. Maintains employee records through obtaining and updating employee information. Assist in ensuring compliance with human resources policies, procedures, programs, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) accuracy, employee relations, employee training and development, benefits, and employment.
Responsibilities: &bull; Point person for all HR functions<br />&bull; Responsible for building and maintaining hardcopy personnel, medical and benefits files.<br />&bull; Responsible for conducting benefits meetings, and distribution of new hire and open enrollment packets.<br />&bull; Responsible for entering and updating employees&rsquo; status through HRIS systems<br />&bull; Responsible for job postings and responses.<br />&bull; Conduct peer reviews<br />&bull; Monitor employee pay imbalances, job position accuracies<br />&bull; Monitor and complete I-9 audits<br />&bull; Responsible for auditing employee's attendance / disciplinary records within Kronos and Smart Office programs<br />&bull; Completing termination paperwork, benefits packets and assisting with exist interviews<br />&bull; Oversee the unemployment claims process. Independently gathered facts, prepared responses, and determined appropriate company documentation<br />&bull; Other assignments as needed<br /><br />SCOPE &amp; IMPACT:<br />This position will impact the morale of La-Z-Boy employees through customer service abilities and resolutions. The position supports a campus of approximately 1500 employees engaged in diversified manufacturing, technical, professional, and managerial activities. Must influence and coordinate with a significant number of management personnel in maintaining legal and ethical compliance. Provides primary support to the HR Manager. The success of this position has substantial impact on the efficiency and profitability of the plant.
Requirements: MINIMIUM REQUIREMENTS:<br /><br />&bull; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Business Administration or Human Resource Management or at least five years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.<br />&bull; Proficient use of Microsoft Suite applications such as Word and Excel, and the ability to obtain Lawson systems and Kronos program knowledge.<br />&bull; Bi-lingual &ldquo;Spanish-English&rdquo;<br />&bull; Solid communication and analytical skills<br />&bull; Excellent Attendance<br />&bull; Excellent Customer Service Skills<br /><br />PREFERED REQUIREMENTS:<br />&bull; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in HR or related field.<br />&bull; Human Resource Management experience<br />&bull; Kronos Software knowledge and experience<br />&bull; Excellent communication oral and written skills<br />&bull; Professional in Human Resources (PHR)<br />&bull; Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR)<br />&bull; Workday Experience<br /><br />SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None<br /><br />PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:<br />The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
