Full Time

$22 - $25 hourly DOE

Overview: We&rsquo;re seeking a Medication Aide/Tech to provide medication management and support Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) for residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care. Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>Follow each resident’s service plan in a friendly and supportive manner, including passing medications per physician orders and Medication Administration Records</li> <li>Document completion of daily tasks and observed changes in residents’ conditions</li> <li>Communicate resident needs with other Medication Aides to ensure consistent care</li> <li>Participate in meal service, including serving, clearing, and cleaning the dining room</li> <li>Manage staff under your supervision during working hours</li> <li>Maintain required certifications and attend ongoing training and in-service programs</li> <li>Comply with the Continuous Quality Improvement program and report issues to your supervisor</li> <li>Follow all local, state, and federal rules and regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and Blood Borne Pathogen Guidelines</li> <li>Report suspected elder maltreatment or abuse to the Director of Health and Wellness, Executive Director, and/or State</li> <li>Work safely and foster a safe work environment for all employees</li> <li>Support teamwork, take initiative, and maintain a positive impact on residents, visitors, and coworkers</li> <li>Perform other duties as assigned</li> </ul> <br />
Requirements: <br /> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED required</li> <li>Minimum one year of experience in a caregiving role or similar function</li> <li>At least six months of supervisory experience in a health-related field</li> <li>Ability to read physician orders and match them to Medication Administration Records</li> <li>Understanding of medical terminology adequate to administer medications and communicate with medical professionals</li> <li>Certifications as required by state</li> <li>Must be 18 years or older and meet all health requirements, including TB clearance</li> <li>First Aid certification required</li> <li>Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly</li> <li>Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills</li> <li>Ability to work well under pressure, resolve conflicts, prioritize tasks, and follow through with ideas</li> <li>Pleasant, professional, and personable demeanor</li> </ul> <br />
