Manager

Overview: The Healthcare Manager works closely with day support facilities, supported work sites, residential group homes, nursing homes, dialysis clinics, Health Insurance Providers, Community Service Boards, Centers for Independent Living, Area Agencies on Aging, and Adult Day Centers, and other medical providers that utilize NEMT Service for their Members.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>The Healthcare Manager visits the above facilities regularly to provide training and information about the NEMT process, and to learn about service concerns.</li> <li>HealthCare Managers play a critical role in permanently resolving escalated issues in order to build and maintain strong relationships with our stakeholders.</li> <li>In addition to outreach and education, the Healthcare Manager identifies and recruits Medicaid Participating Facilities who can partner as a transportation provider.</li> <li>Most of LogistiCare's Healthcare Managers have backgrounds in the medical field, case management, and outreach work..</li> <li>Minimum requirements for this position includes experience with facility based social service programs, including Community Service Boards, Area Agencies on Aging, and Centers for Independent living., superior communication, written, and public speaking skills; excellent problem solving skills.</li> <li>Qualified Candidates will be knowledgeable Medicaid guidelines and covered services.</li> <li>Prior Member Services or UR Manager in a health-plan a plus.</li> <li>This position functions as an advocate within the non-emergency medical transportation system for Members and case-managers alike throughout the state providing in-service training to facilities on how to use NET services effectively and to promote positive relationships.</li> <li>Ability to travel required.</li> <li>Note: This description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Requirements: <ul><li> Bachelor's Degree preferred </li><li> Experience in outreaching to Healthcare facilities, Social Workers and General Public preferred Experience: </li><li> 2 years medical transportation management experience a plus </li><li> Experience with facility based social service programs, Community Service Boards, Area Agencies on Aging, and Centers for Independent living </li><li> Demonstrated experience interacting with healthcare facilities and medical groups </li><li> Clinical, case management and discharge experience a plus Skills: </li><li> Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills </li><li> Ability to communicate effectively with clients and providers and make public presentations </li><li> High level of technical competence to include proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills a plus </li><li> Excellent problem solving skills: must be able to develop and implement action plans to address issues Environmental and Working Conditions: </li><li> Ability to travel throughout assigned region / territory </li><li> Approximately 20% of work time is conducted in an office setting and approximately 80% will require travel Physical and Mental Requirements: </li><li> Strong problem resolution skills </li><li> Must have a proactive approach to relationship building </li><li> Must be solutions oriented; creative innovative thinker Must be able to work independently and as a team member LogistiCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer. </li></ul>
