Overview: This position reports to the Payroll Manager and is responsible for processing a 1000 employee payroll on a biweekly basis utilizing ADP's PayForce. The position will base at our corporate office in College Park, GA.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Processes employee time cards and administers paid-time-off balances in accordance with established policies; serves as primary contact for employees with questions regarding their paycheck and paid time off leave balances.</li> <li>Processes wage attachments and payments to third party agencies in a timely and accurate manner.</li> <li>Serves as liaison to the Finance Department responsible for tax filing and payroll account reconciliation.</li> <li>Performs seasonal payroll projects including reporting, and year-end payroll processing.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Two-year degree from an accredited technical or vocational school.</li> </ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>2 years&rsquo; experience working in the human resource field with experience in payroll administration.</li> <li>Experience operating a human resource information system is desired OR any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.</li> </ul> <p>Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of the general practices and procedures of payroll administration.</li> <li>Knowledge of modern principles and practices of human resource management.</li> <li>Knowledge of general principles of compensation program development and job&nbsp;analysis.</li> <li>Knowledge of general office practices and procedures.</li> <li>Knowledge of effective and efficient record keeping and bookkeeping practices and procedures.</li> <li>Knowledge of basic mathematics.</li> <li>Ability to learn and become proficient in specific computer software utilized by the department.</li> <li>Ability to maintain efficient and organized filing systems to ensure that the items can be retrieved in a timely manner.</li> <li>Ability to answer the telephone in a courteous and tactful manner.</li> <li>Ability to maintain the confidential nature of personnel related information.</li> <li>Ability to compose and type correspondence in an accurate and timely manner.</li> </ul> <p>Competencies:</p> <ul> <li>Communication, Oral - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.</li> <li>Communication, Written - Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely.</li> <li>Interpersonal - Ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and individuals.</li> <li>Problem Solving - Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work-related problems.</li> </ul> <p>Environmental and Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>100% o work time is conducted in an atmosphere-controlled office setting.</li> </ul> <p>Physical and Mental Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Strong analytical skills and established ability to solve problems while incorporating best practices.</li> </ul>
