Overview: <p>In conjunction with the Manager, administers payroll processing, direct payroll analyst, ensuring that all processes are executed appropriately and in a timely manner to ensure efficient payroll operations. Operates as the subject matter expert and escalation point to resolve issues. Works with staff to correct deficiencies and coordinates training of staff to ensure compliance with Logisticare policies and procedures, federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to financial accounting and tax reporting. Provide coaching, counseling to improve payroll processing and reporting. Conducts work planning, estimation and prioritization to optimize performance of team. This individual manages effective internal/external customer relationships within own area of responsibility, and builds relationships within the company.</p>
Responsibilities: <p><strong>Ensure that payroll is processed timely and accurately.</strong></p> <ul> <li>Recommend best practices to improve efficiency of payroll processes.</li> <li>Assist in payroll calculations, deductions, wage garnishments, tax filings, and child support.</li> <li>Perform reconciliations.</li> <li>Maintain employee payroll records to insure they up-to-date and accurate.</li> <li>Address payroll related queries and requests from employees.</li> <li>Analyze payroll problems and provide appropriate resolutions.</li> <li>Follow and enforce federal, state and local laws.</li> <li>Coordinate with HR and finance teams to carry out payroll processing.</li> <li>Assist in audit operations.</li> <li>Review and release manual off-cycle check payments.</li> <li>Provided coverage for team members in back-up role for vacation and/or high-volume work periods.</li> <li>Fill in for the payroll manager as needed.</li> <li>Escalate potential service issues to Payroll manager.</li> <li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li> <li>Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Minimum of 5 years of payroll supervisory experience.</li> <li>Experience with ADP Vantage payroll system.</li> <li>Ability to effectively supervise team members and work as a member of that team to organize work activities for other members of that team.</li> <li>Strong customer service skills.</li> <li>Strong organization skills, attention to detail and follow through to resolve any outstanding issues.</li> <li>Strong time management skills.</li> <li>Ability to adapt to changing environment.</li> <li>Ability to analyze/interpret data and take appropriate action.</li> <li>Ability &amp; interest in training other team members.</li> <li>Knowledge of tax reciprocity rules and regulations.</li> <li>Knowledge of ADP Vantage systems, and Excel.</li> <li>Associate degree.</li> </ul>
