Overview: <strong>*Relocation to Boston or Atlanta not required. Position can be remote*</strong><br /><br /> As a Senior Director of Operational Compliance within LogistiCare, you will serve as an integral day-to-day leader for clients and operations. You will be responsible for: (1) ensuring that our operations run in accordance with client contractual terms, accrediting agency requirements, and applicable laws and regulations, (2) managing client and government agency audits, (3) managing client performance improvement plans (PIPs), quality improvement plans (QIPs), and corrective actions plans (CAPs), and (4) auditing internal operations. A leader will need excellent project management skills and the ability to analyze and organize the substantive elements that are subject to audits and PIPs/QIPs/CAPs to address underlying opportunities.
Responsibilities: <p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</strong></p> <ul> <li>Prepares the organization for scheduled annual and validation client audits.</li> <li>Manages the organization's response to ad hoc and targeted client audits.</li> <li>Responds to client audit findings.</li> <li>Manages and brings to closure client CAPs.</li> <li>Collaborates with our Chief Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.</li> <li>Works with a cross-functional team to identify and resolve issues.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>POSITION QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p> <p><strong>Competency Statement(s)</strong></p> <p>Analytical Skills - Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.</p> <p>Communication, Oral - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.</p> <p>Communication, Written - Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely.</p> <p>Customer Oriented - Ability to take care of the customers' needs while following company procedures.</p> <p>Decision Making - Ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures.</p> <p>Interpersonal - Ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and individuals.</p> <p>Management Skills - Ability to organize and direct oneself and effectively supervise others.</p> <p>Problem Solving -- Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work-related problems.</p> <p>Relationship Building - Ability to effectively build relationships with customers and co-workers.</p> <p>Working Under Pressure - Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations.</p> <p>Must be a strategic planner with sound technical skills, analytical ability and strong operational focus.</p> <p>Culture Builder -- Ability to improve culture in a legacy organization.</p> <p><strong>Education</strong></p> <p>Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree required in Management and/or leadership or other business-related fields (e.g., Finance, Accounting/Audit, Healthcare).</p> <p><strong>Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum 7 years leadership experience -- at least 2 years of Senior Leadership experience.</li> <li>Demonstrated expertise in managing complex clients.</li> <li>Demonstrated expertise in managing projects across multiple locations.</li> <li>Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred.</li> <li>Proven experience supervising and monitoring the delivery of contractual service metrics.</li> <li>Proven ability to identify trends and implement change.</li> <li>Culture champion; proven ability to create a highly engaged workforce with high satisfaction scores.</li> <li>Familiarity with accrediting agency (e.g., URAC, NCQA) requirements and applicable healthcare laws and regulations (e.g., CMS, State Medicaid Agency).</li> </ul> <p><strong>Computer Skills</strong></p> <ul> <li>Advanced Excel skills preferred (VLOOKUP, MATCH, IFISERROR, Calculation formulas, etc.).</li> </ul> <p><strong>WORK ENVIRONMENT</strong></p> <p>The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
