Overview: Loureiro Engineering Associates is seeking a&nbsp;<strong>Project Manager - Structural Engineer&nbsp;</strong>to lead our growing structural engineering team in Portsmouth, NH. This position will provide managerial leadership and be the technical lead on a range of project types and assist structural engineering staff in the completion of day-to-day projects. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Work with the division manager to progress toward a structural design team leadership role, that would include performance management, career development, mentoring, staffing, and merit planning. Progression toward this role will be in accordance with a development plan prepared by the division manager that includes specific goals and metrics.</li> <li>Provide project and technical oversight for activities performed by the team.</li> <li>Provide proposal inputs and review proposal content for both internal and external customers.</li> <li>Communicate effectively with both team members and internal/external clients and stakeholders.</li> <li>Structural analysis, design and detailing for all types of buildings and materials using a variety of building codes.</li> <li>Coordination of design work with in-house staff as well as other design professionals including Architects and other Engineering disciplines.</li> <li>Preparation of construction documents within a BIM environment. Apply standard structural engineering design principles and sound engineering judgment to complete projects.</li> <li>Design of structural elements for building construction and specialty structural systems for industrial clients.</li> <li>Task planning, conducting technical peer reviews, and mentoring junior engineers.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor of Science degree in Structural or Civil Engineering. Master of Science degree a plus.</li> <li>Eight years of relevant experience in structural analysis and design. Management experience is not a requirement, but a desire to learn and refine team leadership skills is necessary.</li> <li>Knowledge of concrete, steel, and masonry design codes, as well as local and national building codes required.</li> <li>Knowledge of standard construction practices and the ability to work with contractors to address construction issues.</li> <li>Ability to work in AutoCAD and Revit.</li> <li>Strong verbal and written communications skills.</li> <li>Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and team skills.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Prolonged periods of sitting, walking, hiking, and standing.</li> <li>Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time.</li> <li>Mobility control of hands to setup equipment, handle samples, and operate tools.</li> <li>Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.</li> <li>Adherence to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment.</li> </ul> <br /> <p>Loureiro Engineering Associates, Inc.
