Responsibilities: <ul> <li>May be expected to design portions of a project.</li> <li>Makes calculations, using engineering formulas and skills.</li> <li>Uses catalogs to specify items where original design is not required.</li> <li>Instructs drafters how to reduce designs into completed drawings.</li> <li>Performs research and writes opinions.</li> <li>Uses computer to run standard programs in order to solve engineering problems.</li> <li>Performs other work as apparent or assigned.</li> <li>Works safely and abides by the firm&rsquo;s policies and procedures.</li> <li>Expected to design portions of a project without immediate oversight.</li> <li>Responsible for task budgets under the supervision of a Project Manager.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>May be expected to design portions of a project.</li> <li>Understands the physical environment &ndash; including landforms and topography &ndash; and how these elements interact with the built environment.</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li>Effective technical skills.</li> <li>Team working skills.</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Qualifications:<br /></strong> <br /> <ul> <li>Must have a degree in engineering.</li> <li>0-5 years' related experience.</li> <li>Alternatively, may have a Master&rsquo;s degree and no experience.</li> <li>Have passed the EIT Exam.</li> <li>Proficiency in AutoCAD.</li> </ul> <br /><br /><strong>Physical Requirements:<br /></strong><br /> <ul> <li>Prolonged periods of sitting, walking, hiking, and standing.</li> <li>Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time.</li> <li>Mobility control of hands to setup equipment, handle samples, and operate tools.</li> <li>Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.</li> <li>Adherence to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment.</li> </ul> <br /><br />Loureiro Engineering Associates Inc. is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
