Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Assist in developing and implementing procurement strategies aligned with project needs and company objectives.</li> <li>Support the sourcing, evaluation, and selection of suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and timely delivery of goods and services.</li> <li>Assist in negotiating contracts, terms, and conditions with vendors under the guidance of senior procurement managers.</li> <li>Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers and engineers, to understand procurement requirements and ensure timely fulfillment.</li> <li>Help maintain supplier relationships, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of issues to facilitate smooth procurement operations.</li> <li>Contribute to analyzing market trends, pricing, and supply-demand dynamics to support informed decision-making.</li> <li>Assist in managing procurement documentation, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier databases.</li> <li>Support in monitoring supplier performance, identifying areas for improvement, and assisting in implementing corrective actions when necessary.</li> <li>Aid in tracking procurement budgets, expenditures, and cost-saving initiatives.</li> <li>Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and compliance standards related to procurement activities.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.</li> <li>1 to 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the engineering or construction industry.</li> <li>Basic understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation.</li> <li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed recommendations.</li> <li>Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.</li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.</li> <li>Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members and external stakeholders.</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong> <ul> <li>Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.</li> <li>Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs.</li> <li>Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.</li> <li>Able to push, pull, and place materials on level surfaces and overhead cabinets.</li> </ul> <br /><br />Loureiro Engineering Associates, Inc.
