Overview: <p>Loureiro Contractors, Inc. (LCI) is a Connecticut-based contractor with a broad range of experience in infrastructure development, environmental remediation and demolition. Our in-house capabilities include: site work; concrete construction; soil, groundwater and sediment remediation; roadways; bridges; earth retaining systems; underground utilities;&nbsp;and UST removal and replacement.</p> <p>LCI has an immediate opening for a&nbsp;<strong>Construction</strong>&nbsp;<strong>Project Manager&nbsp;</strong>in our Plainville, CT office<strong>.</strong>&nbsp;Projects will include a number of<strong>&nbsp;</strong>diverse heavy/highway, civil/site and/or remediation construction projects. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Read and understand job bid instructions, plans, detailed specifications.</li> <li>Review proposals, specifications, drawing, attend pre-bid meetings.</li> <li>Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and vendors.</li> <li>Analyze estimates from subcontractors and suppliers to review for accuracy and negotiate favorable pricing.</li> <li>Create and track contract documents, including clearly written proposals and correspondence.</li> <li>Coordinate with field personnel to create and implement project schedules, manage project scope, and reduce cost exposure.</li> <li>Work together with project personnel to manage costs, project budget and ensure project delivery goals.</li> <li>Oversee and manage contractors during all phases of a project to ensure quality and consistency.</li> <li>Develop relationships with customers and continuously strive to improve client satisfaction.</li> <li>Attend job meetings.</li> <li>Manage a variety of reports, work plans, schedules, and budgets.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field of study.</li> <li>Minimum of 5 years of heavy/highway/site/concrete/remediation project management experience including minimum 2 years' CT DOT project management experience.</li> <li>Excellent attention to detail.</li> <li>Strong communication skills and leadership abilities.</li> <li>Flexible, well organized, detail oriented and multi-tasking skills.</li> <li>Familiarity with working in a union environment is a plus.</li> <li>Experience with Sage Timberline, Primavera, and HCSS software.</li> </ul> <br /> <div><strong>Physical Requirements</strong> <ul> <li>Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.</li> <li>Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs.</li> <li>Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.</li> <li>Able to push, pull, and place materials on level surfaces and overhead cabinets.</li> <li>Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.</li> <li>Adherence to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment.</li> </ul> </div> <p>Loureiro Contractors, Inc.
