Assistant Director

$165k+ w/ $25k+ bonus

Overview: <p>Our client is a recently approved IHC banking firm who is looking for a CCAR/stress testing review specialist.&nbsp; This position, AD of Risk and Controls, will review CCAR documents prepared by CCAR teams at the bank and make modifications/remediation to the CCAR program to ensure IHC compliance. This is a rapidly growing team at a firm who has seen significant growth.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Develop a quality assurance program over IHC regulatory and financial reporting processes to test data quality and process controls, including required documentation for FR Y-14A report.(10%)*</li> <li>Create quality assurance scope, testing plan, and communication materials for FR Y-14A report. (10%)*</li> <li>Execute transaction and data testing according to the quality assurance program methodology and plan, including documentation and communication of the results. (40%)*</li> <li>Ensure the deficiencies identified in the reporting process are properly documented and tracked for resolution in the appropriate issue management tool. (10%)*</li> <li>Identify and validate that appropriate key controls are in place and documented according to the policy to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of U.S. produced regulatory reports. This includes advising on control improvements that are required. (10%)*</li> <li>Assess and monitor the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, assessing the accuracy and completeness of FR Y-14A report and data and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. (5%)</li> <li>Perform risk assessment of financial and regulatory reports, including documentation and presentation to senior management of risk assessment results. (5%)</li> <li>Ensure that regulatory rules across are properly interpreted and approved by the US FRC and that these rules have been adopted into the reporting process. Additionally, ensure the accuracy of financial statement reporting including adherence to US GAAP and IFRS as appropriate. (5%)</li> <li>Track issues identified by the US FRC and providing status reports on regular basis while supporting resolution efforts. (5%)</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Proven ability to perform data analysis based on regulatory or accounting rules, advanced communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to drive change through an organization. Familiarity with the preparation of Financial Statements and Regulatory reports with focus on US regulatory and US GAAP.</li> <li>8yrs + experience in Finance with focus on US financial and regulatory reporting, risk and control, or Internal Audit</li> <li>Experience in data or transaction testing (i.e. regulatory exam, or internal/external audit)</li> <li>Passion and understanding of US regulatory reporting environment</li> <li>Results orientated and a team player with high degree of personal impact</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to translate business needs and regulations into documented business requirements</li> <li>Experience in a global investment bank or finance industry</li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint</li> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Finance, Accounting or Risk Management</li> <li>CCAR experience required, specifically FR Y-14A</li> </ul>
