Overview: <br />The Finance Department is seeking a Financial Analyst to join a seasoned accounting team. The ideal candidate is energetic, hands-on, and ideally a CPA.<br /> <br />The Financial Analyst will be responsible for the preparation of operational and commercial analyses designed to improve the performance of the organization, full cycle accounting processes including budget to actual spending analyses, maintaining the quality and integrity of key financial systems, other general account reconciliations, accounting duties and aiding in the preparation of budgets and projections. Responsibilities: <br /><br /> <ul> <ul> <ul> <li>Month-end close processes, including but not limited to review and analyses of account balances, creating and posting journal entries, and monthly reconciliation of various accounts</li> <li>Treasury activities include preparation of bank reconciliations, weekly payment summaries, bank account setups, projecting and maintaining cash balances, and troubleshooting bank issues</li> <li>Preparing account reconciliations for payroll accounts such as savings account matches, remittances, benefit contributions, and deductions</li> <li>Troubleshooting accounts payable and credit card payment issues</li> <li>Invoicing ad hoc customers and following up on collections</li> <li>Working with the Commercial and Operations teams to identify trends, performing research, and compiling and interpreting statistics for the purpose of improving the operational efficacy of the organization</li> <li>Collaborating with the finance team to investigate and understand how the details of the accounting systems provide robust controls with the aim of improving the overall effectiveness and accuracy of financial reporting</li> </ul> </ul> </ul>
Requirements: <br /> <ul> <ul> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Commerce / Business</li> <li>Professional designation (CPA)</li> <li>Proficiency in using MS Excel to support the reconciliation process</li> <li>Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal</li> <li>Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment</li> </ul> </ul> </ul>
