Combining the financial strength of our talented partners with the skills and energy of Canadians like you, we can bring the best practices of the aviation industry to Canada!</p> <p><strong><u>WHAT THE ROLE ENTAILS:</u></strong></p> <p>Reporting to the Manager, OCC, the Operations Coordinator is responsible for the execution of the day-of-flight operations with an eye on safety at all times while maintaining on-time performance and planning for any irregular operations proactively.</p> <p>The Operations Coordinators will work with Flight Dispatch, Crew Scheduling, Airport/Ground Operations, Technical Operations, and other internal and external stakeholders.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Monitor day-of flight schedules and make proactive decisions to keep the integrity and on-time performance of the flight schedule</li> <li>Liaise with all operational teams to develop and communicate IROP contingency and recovery plans</li> <li>Coordinate operational support requirements between flight crews, flight dispatch and airports</li> <li>Responsible for managing day of operations including performing IROP functions, forecast flight delays, create extra flight segments as required. Ensure all ops functions are communicated to required stakeholders prior to execution</li> <li>Prepare daily reports and operational status updates detailing operational highlights and concerns</li> <li>Complete all checklists and provide comprehensive briefings during shift changes</li> <li>Monitor ACARS and incoming calls to provide timely and professional communication and ground support to both flight crews and airports teams</li> <li>Monitor all flight delays, cancellations, weather advisories, aircraft swaps, flight reroutes and other operational constraints and communicate these to affected stakeholders and flight crews</li> <li>Manage gate assignments across the network</li> <li>Monitor and report on all U.S. and Domestic Extended Tarmac Delays</li> <li>Coordinate and communicate customs exemptions for approved trans-border flights;</li> <li>Liaise with Flight Crews, Flight Dispatch, Airports, and Emergency Responders to ensure emergency medical assistance is provided as required by travellers and/or flight crews. Engage Quarantine Officials as required</li> <li>Assume other duties as assigned</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>2 years of flight operations coordination experience in a 705 operation</li> <li>Experience with CAR 705 regulations</li> <li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, organization and communications skills required</li> <li>Experience with Airline Day of Operation software would be an asset (eg Sabre, AIMS, Merlot etc)</li> <li>Excellent communications skills and the ability to communicate in a clear, accurate, concise, and professional manner</li> <li>Proven ability to proactively identify problems, issues, opportunities, and solutions</li> <li>Must be able to work with a strong sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision</li> <li>Be available to work a rotational schedule including evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts</li> <li>Ability to work with multiple teams in different time zones across the airline network</li> <li>Ability to deal with stressful situations using diplomacy</li> <li>Intermediate level of MS Office applications</li> <li>Must be able to work with a strong sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision</li> </ul> <p style="font-weight: 400;"><strong><u>WHAT YOU WILL GET FROM US:</u></strong></p> <ul style="font-weight: 400;"> <li>Industry competitive salary</li> <li>The chance to be part of building something from the ground up.&nbsp;Aggressive growth plans of the organization mean there is no limit to how far you can grow your career with the organization</li> <li>An environment that promotes a healthy work-life balance</li> <li>Open and collaborative work environment.
