Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Develops strong relationships with existing and potential business which will include strategies for gaining potential business.</li> <li>Solicits and negotiates business for the hotel.</li> <li>Creates, prioritizes, and implements strategic sales plans within his/her assigned territory and market segment.</li> <li>Maintains and strengths relationships with existing customers and developing new business relationships with prospective groups.</li> <li>Conducts professional property site tours and presentations.</li> <li>Assists the Director of Sales or VP of Sales with special projects.</li> <li>Follows up and communication with leads and outstanding proposals.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>3-5 years of sales experience preferably in a 4-5 diamond resort.</li> <li>Has a minimum of 2 years Hotel Sales experience</li> <li>3 years prior experience in Customer Service.</li> <li>College degree in Communications, Hotel Administration or related field preferred.</li> <li>Working knowledge of Delphi or Daylight, Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook and Hotel Systems.</li> <li>Has strong business relationships within the hospitality community.</li> <li>Able to take responsibility for actions and outcomes from clients as well as Team Members.</li> <li>Able to give long hours to the job and work in a fast paced environment.</li> <li>Must be self-motivated and goal oriented.</li> <li>Must possess excellent customer service, time management, organizational and communication skills.</li> <li>Able to present a well-groomed appearance.</li> <li>Able to travel to industry related trade shows and sales call trips.</li> </ul>
