Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Directs operations and staff of Finance, including Accounts <span class="modified">Receiv</span>able<span class="modified">s</span>, General Ledger, Revenue Audit, and Count Room</li> <li>Develops, implements, and manages operational goals, monitoring performance and profit objectives</li> <li>Oversees scheduling for the department to optimize labor costs, meet staffing needs, and achieve deadlines</li> <li>Prepares, monitors, and ensures adherence to departmental budgets, reporting concerns to Executive Management or General Manager</li> <li>Develops and documents the Accounting System of Internal Control to ensure regulatory compliance</li> <li>Plans and executes efficient accounting and financial reporting systems for internal and external reporting, including SEC, IRS, and state agencies</li> <li>Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements for Accounting System of Internal Controls</li> <li>Creates and maintains internal reporting processes for management decision-making</li> <li>Proposes and implements plans to improve operating efficiency</li> <li>Builds and maintains a qualified team to support financial reporting and internal control compliance</li> <li>Maintains current knowledge of GAAP, SEC, IRS, Department of Revenue, and State Gaming Control Board regulations</li> <li>Ensures regulatory compliance and reports potential issues to Executive Management or General Manager</li> <li>Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters</li> <li>Oversees staff development and training programs for the Finance team</li> <li>Implements employee recognition programs to enhance engagement</li> <li>Evaluates team performance and provides constructive feedback</li> <li>Manages staffing decisions including interviewing, hiring, scheduling, and assigning work</li> <li>Establishes work procedures and streamlines workflow for both departments</li> <li>Oversees employee performance management including coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Must be at least 21 years of age</li> <li>Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university; MBA or CPA preferred but not required</li> <li>Minimum of seven years&rsquo; experience in Accounting, Audit, or Finance; gaming industry experience preferred</li> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word</li> <li>Familiarity with Oracle, Coupa, Salesforce, Oasis, COGNOS, SQL, CRM, CDS, ACES, and other data processing systems preferred</li> <li>Skilled in formal communication and presentations to executive leadership</li> <li>Broad knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis</li> <li>Advanced Excel skills and experience in financial modeling</li> <li>Experience with computer report writing software highly desirable</li> <li>Capable of operating in a highly confidential environment</li> <li>Strong interpersonal and analytical skills for handling diverse situations</li> </ul> <p><strong>CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS</strong></p> <ul> <li>Must qualify for all licensing and permit requirements as mandated by federal, state, and local regulations</li> </ul>
