Responsibilities: Reporting to the Lead, Early Career Specialists, in the role of Early Career Specialist, you will be accountable for proactively engaging students, residents and new-in-practice physicians to establish and foster strong member/client relationships. <br /> <p style="text-align: justify;">Act as first face-to-face point of contact MD Financial Management (MDFM) and effectively promote and communicate the MD value proposition, through a solid understanding of the physician journey, MD&rsquo;s core products and services. You will be responsible to generate leads for MD Financial Management for new clients and directly link prospects with Early Career Advisors.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">You will play an important role in fostering alliances with key stakeholder groups such as student coordinators, deans, academic and student leadership, residency program directors, PTMA, Physician-Hospital Organizations (PHO), affiliates and Scotia Bank. You will also play a key role in developing a prominent, consistent, recognized and positive presence on campus and in teaching hospitals and in the New in Practice community. Your knowledge of physician career transition points and milestones will enable you to proactively support your clients through the provision of appropriate programs and materials. <br /><br />You will be accountable for delivering educational sessions on campus and in teaching hospitals and organizing and facilitating MDFM presence via student and resident orientations, academic half-days and special events. Through your efforts in creating a prominent, consistent, recognized and positive presence on campus, in teaching hospitals and in the New in Practice community, you will generate leads for MD Financial Management for both new clients and products and directly link prospects with Financial Consultants. <br /> <br /><br />As an Early Career Specialist, you will lead the collection of feedback and insights from students, residents, and new in practice physicians and ensure these feed appropriate Voice of Client (VOC) programs and inform future strategies and programs. You will leverage new media and social networking tools to actively engage with prospects and clients and create stakeholder communities. <br /> </p>
Requirements: <p><strong>What You Need:</strong><br /><br />The ideal candidate holds a university degree in Marketing, Commerce, Communications or the equivalent work experience coupled with a minimum 3 years&rsquo; experience in financial planning, marketing or business development in the financial services or healthcare industries.&nbsp;<br /><br />An in-depth understanding of the student and resident experience and knowledge of early career physicians is critical to success in this role as is an appreciation for physician career models and training and educational requirements specific to various academic institutions and programs.&nbsp;<br />&nbsp;<br />Along with your demonstrated client relationship management experience and detailed financial planning knowledge, you have extensive knowledge of the Canadian health care environment and its implications for Canadian physicians as well as our competitors&rsquo; products and target market interests.<br /><br />You have experience with various forms of social media and networking tools that allow you to actively engage with prospects/members/clients and create stakeholder communities.<br /><br />Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset<br /><br /><strong><em>Note: This role requires extensive travel (30%-70% of the time)</em></strong><br /><br /><br /><strong>What You Bring:</strong>&nbsp;<br /><br />You are inspired by doing the best for your clients and by providing tailored and timely advice.&nbsp;<br />&nbsp;<br />You use your exceptional interpersonal skills to build rapport with and influence your clients and understand the critical importance of client trust.&nbsp;<br />&nbsp;<br />You have the confidence and capability to work independently but also enjoy the collaborative process and look forward to partnering with other team members to identify and implement the best solution possible.&nbsp;<br />&nbsp;<br />You are strong communicator.
