Overview: <p>We are always looking for individuals with bright minds and a deep-seated desire to make a difference in the lives of some of the most hard-working, industrious and essential individuals in our community: Canada&rsquo;s physicians.&nbsp;</p> <p>The Digital Workplace team has the mandate to continuously research and develop technology services and solutions that could drive business strategy, enhance business capabilities, create new business models, and drive business innovation.&nbsp;<br /><br />Under the direction of the UX Architect, the UX Analyst supports the mandate of the Digital Workplace group by investigating developments, identifying potential, and determining achievability of new technology. In cooperation with other IT functional groups, internal clients, and external vendors, you will explore and build applications that meet stakeholder requirements and solve business needs.&nbsp;<br /><br />The results will retain functional and technical integrity and are appropriately scalable. This position has an integral role in establishing product roadmaps, application lifecycle management, right-sized vendor management and technical support and oversight. You will manage competing priorities, maintain forward planning and resolve unplanned support eventualities.&nbsp;</p>
Responsibilities: <p><strong>What you will do:</strong></p> <p>As part of the Digital Workplace team, you will investigate new technologies, brainstorm solutions, and build viable applications for MDFM business needs and opportunities<br /><br /></p> <p>Provide technical analysis, recommendations and implementation assistance on solutions to business requirements<br /><br /></p> <p>Research and provide expertise around new technologies as they apply to MDFM&rsquo;s business<br /><br /></p> <p>Work with stakeholders and peers to outline support models and support roles/responsibilities, to document/maintain formal RACI where necessary and to manage the technical aspects of new and existing implementations<br /><br /></p> <p>Provide input to and maintain integrated product roadmaps, working with business partners to understand expected business outcomes, purpose, direction and the evolution of developed software solutions<br /><br /></p> <p>Maintain an understanding of the MDFM business to take an active role in proposing and implementing solutions, and conducting application rationalization exercises<br /><br /></p> <p>Support disaster/business continuity planning/execution as required<br /><br /></p> <p>Seek out opportunities for performance and process improvements</p>
Requirements: <p><strong>What you need:</strong><br />University or college degree, preferably in Computer Science, engineering, information management or three years&rsquo; experience in a relevant discipline</p> <p><br />Proven experience with development tools, software, and other applications, including SQL, Microsoft Azure, O365 Services and Power Platform tools, SharePoint on premise, on line<br /><br /></p> <p>Experience managing software vendors in their delivery of support and services against SLA<br /><br /></p> <p>Experience managing multiple internal stakeholder requirements<br /><br /></p> <p>Experience managing cloud based and hosted application applications; working knowledge of ETL, application interface approaches, and workflow is an asset<br /><br /></p> <p>Demonstrated experience leading deeply technical conversations with vendors on behalf of the business user base</p> <p>Bilingualism is an asset<br /><br /><strong>What you bring:<br /></strong>Strong interest in new technology and trends with the ability to relate concepts to practical application.<br /><br /></p> <p>Proficiency in tools such as Service Now, Visual Studio, Office 365, Power Platform&nbsp;<br /><br /></p> <p>Knowledge of relevant areas such as APIs, data transfer, scalability, security, Cloud Technologies&nbsp;<br /><br /></p> <p>Experience coordinating with development and infrastructure teams (internal and external)&nbsp;<br /><br /></p> <p>The ability to distinguish between technology choices and rationalize recommendations&nbsp;<br /><br /></p> <p>Competent business analysis skills and the ability to translate requirements to enterprise software features&nbsp;<br /><br /></p> <p>Strong written and oral communication and problem-solving skills are crucial&nbsp;<br /><br /></p> <p>Ability to work in a flex environment with minimal supervision, in teams or individually<br /><br /></p> <p>Demonstrated project management competencies needed to manage tight project deadlines, competing priorities, critical software incidents and a high pace of change<br /><br /><strong>What Success Looks Like:<br /></strong>You are passionate about the MD value proposition.<br />You are constantly learning and honing your skills.<br />You feel rewarded and recognized in a way that inspires you to do your best work.<br />You are engaged, enthusiastic and clearly understand how what you do contributes to MD&rsquo;s overall success.</p>
